can we infer from your post that you don't tax advantage of super ?

My only problem with it is that the only people who get any real advantage out of these super breaks is the wealthiest at a cost of tens of billions. It is welfare for those who least need it for retirement

Many people are doing it now , at huge interest rates [ that's wrong ] They call them reverse mortgages .
I can send you to all the money you want at 9.2 % on 33% of your Real Estate Value. [ 1st mortgage ]

Aren't reverse mortgages for elderly restricted to something like 15 or 20% or the value of the property for someone about 60? You can get them a lot cheaper at around 7 or 8%, cant you maxie?

Maybe these restrictions should be relaxed. If you don't want to leave your house to your unworthy offspring, you should be able to cash in and stuff them.

Hahahaha Shammy.    The offspring have you well milked by age 80.
Remember we are living in the generation of the skilled .   They are masters of making their oldies buy peace of mind .     It's called emotional black mail.
Compulsory overdrafts,[ say ] a third of the Family jewels should be made available, that would lower welfare cost by more than you think.

Oh, maccamax, do it the yank way.  Say something like "kids don't expect anything other than what I've provided you genetically.  All the rest I'm spending."Thumbs Up

No wonder you Yanks drive on the wrong side of the road.
If I started spending up I would have genetically increased dependants in the inheritance pool.    I'm an every dig a pig man.
Having been gifted in getting to know Fiddles and a couple of the other Laborites on here ,   I'm particular where I put "percy " now days.    I have become a firm believer in contraception.

For a man your age, contraception is a right thing to do.  Fatherless children do struggle during their up bringing, you know.  Hate to think that some poor child would have to admit that his father died at conception. Dead  I compare it to driving on the wrong side of the road.  There are so few countries that drive on the left, that it definitely makes all the other countries "right!"LOL

Happy Easter Gay3.   >>>    Great to see some of our population aren't spending their time on suicidal thoughts.   Having a laugh does help.

Confused  Bum?  You weren't thinking about . . .?Embarrassed  Deary me.  This thread has digressed from potential obits to lord knows what.  You're not suppose to swallow those contraceptives, they are for external use only.  Macca!  Ingesting too much latex causes dementia.  People start to look at their dogs in "flirtatious" ways.Stern Smile  Didn't the WWII yank soldiers warn you about that?

I can picture General MacArthur with tampons in his ears. Soldiers probably would have thought he had a severe ear wax problem. You know he was a dog fancier. Probably not to your standards though.

Shocked  You tell me this on your Easter Sunday!  Good thing this our Saturday and Mrs. Shammy and I are Buddhist and we passively accept strange things that go on around the world.Hug

You know there is a penal pump (as the only thing that viagra works on is your neck) that can be used with the actual living dolls, assuming that you hang out with classy, beautiful, and breathing ladies.  To get one, you'll have to own up to your excesses with your urologist.   I'm sure your urologist will enjoy a discussion related to your dalliances.  If only for the laughs. LOL  Tell him you are taking condoms orally.  That will make his day. The P-pumpEmbarrassed probably would cost you less than a couple of blow up dolls that exhaust you physically in inflatable foreplay as you blow them up.

Don't suppose I'll ever read about an old man was killed in OZ by drowning (during one of OZ's many droughts, no less) as blow up dolls explode on water bed.

Or better yet, old man stiffed as two blow up dolls violently exhale.

I can ad lib.Wink

85yo man to be charged after a shooting at strata meeting in Sydney's south-west

Posted 35 minutes ago

An 85-year-old man will be charged at a bedside hearing after allegedly shooting a man in the neck at a strata meeting in Sydney's south-west last night.

Police were called to a unit block on Quigg Street in Lakemba just before 7:00pm where they found a 66-year-old man who had been shot in the neck.

They arrested the 85-year-old man, who was taken to the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with a suspected broken skull, which police say was caused by a fall at the unit block.

Acting Inspector Paul Stamoulis from Bankstown police says the cause of the dispute, which took place at the property management meeting, remains unclear.

"It was a strata meeting ... obviously things have got out of hand and a firearm has been produced," he said.

The victim is in the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
