My field of research and study is history Judge and my only knowledge of climate science is from where the two fields overlap. I’ve never heard any scientist blame the Greenhouse effect for the couple of hundred year long Global warming period that started around 900 AD . Or for the small ice age that followed it. Scientists were saying then that the climate was all about solar activity and ocean currents .

There are several factors can can influence climate. Solar, orbital...these have been studied and there is no evidence to suggest they are responsible for the current warming trend. But we have released by some estimates 300,000,000,000 tonnes of carbon locked in the ground for millions of years, into the atmosphere in just a few centuries.

This has increased carbon concentrations in the atmosphere leading to and “enhanced” greenhouse effect. Again, there is very little scientific dispute on this. Even scientists who are high profile sceptics and quoted in here (Lindzen, Curry etc) don’t dispute the basic mechanics of this, and that some warming will occur with increased greenhouses gas concentration. The question is “how much” and what to do about it.

btw the fact that the planet has warmed in the last 100 years - not alarmingly and not consitently - and there are more humans on the planet, producing more of everything than ever before is undeniable.

However, since NONE of the corrupted alarmist modeling has ever come close to being accurate, it's simply NOT worth frightening the children about "catastrophic global warming/climate change" ... unless you want to exploit - them in the way that the UN is exploiting retarded school kids - to help your underlying agenda of global wealth redistribution.

btw, we are in a cooling phase now - that is worth worrying about, because people die from the cold ... particularly when you don't have a reliable affordable power supply, like you get with wind and solar.
