  • In short: Just 57 companies are responsible for 80 per cent of the world's greenhouse gas emissions, according to a new report released by UK-based think tank InfluenceMap.
  • The report also reveals big producers did not reduce, but rather increased,  their output of fossil fuels in the seven years after the Paris Agreement.
  • What's next? The report's researchers say the data they compiled helps hold companies to account and assist in climate litigation.

Ask the farmers inland if all that rain was bad !

Why don't you ask those being flooded out of homes?

Or people whose houses are filled with mould?

There can be too much rain, even for farmers.

Enough!!!!
We get it.

You don’t need to repetitively tell us you don’t understand it.

So, instead of continually bashing your keyboard with nonsense.

Question Marble - have you ever heard the term "Climate Change" as an explanation for long spells of glorious weather that we have more often than not ?

It only ever seems to get dragged out during bushfires, floods, storms, long hot spells. Why is that ?

As an example - our inland river systems here in NSW were rejuvenated for one reason - & one reason only. All based on those horrific floods  based in the northern rivers a few years back

Tip - nothing to do with the millions wasted on government actions' Like most climatic outcomes - what's good for some is ordinary for others.

That's weather.  Important if incidental in terms of climate change.

I guarantee you minor changes here can mean big extreme changes elsewhere. Climate change deniers only ever use their own backyards as their barometer. Most are usually in areas where the temps and climates are relatively stable so they don't see or feel the bigger picture.

And got to love the latest advertising by the NSW Government saying how they have a new plan to tackle our inland rivers running dry.

No mention  that they are as healthy as they have ever been at the moment - just all about the inevitable catastrophic droughts headed our way

Why would you waste money saying stuff like that ? Confused

Our dams are going into our wet "spell" at 96% full.

Based on forecasts here in Sydney we will all be under water by this time tomorrow !

11 I wouldn't call this summer normal.  Way to humid.  That's not the way Sydney normally during summer.  Even my fruit trees didn't like the weather.  One not getting any fruit.  The rest dropping fruit right left and centre.  Something they have never done before.  The oldest is least effected but it has dropped a bit of fruit.  All the trees are well over 10 years the orange is 35 years old so it will be interesting to see what the fruit is like.

So we agree wunwun, we should change our behavior to help keep our planet viable?  Maybe transition to energy sources that are toxic for the environment, also sources that are renewable so we don't have to keep digging up our planet or worry about the resources running out?
Seeing Manchester United relegated would mean more than words can describe to me.

Eveyrtime there is a heatwave, do you share that zinger on Facebook about that time in the 1890s when it got hot and everyone had to go hide in pubs or on the beach?

climate change is a threat to our way of life. It is not a frivolous issue.
Your attitude is unfortunately mirrored by successive governments and people who will probably be well gone before the worst effects of climate change hit us.
