Poor old Wazza Mundine has gone all-in on his move to the Liberal Party and for his loyal service they give him an unwinnable seat. Tragic. He will move to One Nation after he loses Gilmore badly, like he moved to the Tories after Labor wouldn't give him a safe seat. Although the Liberal wife and in-laws may be a problem. He will probably have to change them too.

I like him, but I don't know that I would have given Warren a parachute at the expensive of a local candidate - he struggles to articulate his thoughts, even if his heart is in the right place. I would have thought that a Senate seat would have been appropriate. Oh well, I suppose he was the best Mundine available ...

Industry Super Funds? ... you mean the UNION Super Funds, that are administered and skimmed by the Unions (or they would be broke), who use the money to fund THEIR Labor mates and their developments, without the knowledge of the members whose money they treat as their own, who are predominantly NOT Union Members ... You know that Bill Shorten has promised to ban Self manage Super Funds - you know, the fund that YOU set up, with YOUR money, and invest as YOU see fit - from investing in property - and so directing people to invest in UNION Super Funds ... very good for the Unions and Labor ... very bad for Australians.

I agree in essence Judge. Not sure what you have read about it, but from what I understand, the problem is that the left of the party, a bunch of Turnbull lackeys in NSW, has hijacked the pre-selection process - in essence they have copied the undemocratic ALP Branch Stacking processes, whereby a very small non representative group, and their relatives and friends, can determine the outcome - the NSW Liberal membership have tried to have their constitution changed, and it will be, but not before this election. It was how the guy who Warren is shoving aside, was able to get a sitting member in Ann Sudmalis to resign ... because of branch stacking! ... just a shame she was a woman - there, you don't have to say it now!

Unfortunately, what you understand is usually a million miles from REALITY. Malcolm Turnbull intervenes to save Gilmore MP Ann Sudmalis from preselection defeat
Fury is rippling through the local Liberal Party after an alleged intervention from Malcolm Turnbull designed to warn off preselection challenges to sitting Gilmore MP Ann Sudmalis. At least two potential challengers – Grant Schultz and Adam Straney – were contacted by a senior NSW Liberal on Tuesday and told the Prime Minister did not want Mrs Sudmalis to lose her endorsement. |

As he weighed his future in recent months, Mundine has been double dating. In 2018 he joined the Liberal Democrats, and was being considered as a potential Senate candidate for them. Liberal Democrat senator David Leyonhjelm says he spoke to Mundine late last year about reports that the Liberals were courting him. Mundine played down the speculation as media talk, Leyonhjelm says. But he said he had some issues with section 44 of the constitution through his business interests which needed sorting out, and he suggested leaving the discussion about the possible Senate spot until the new year. That's where matters lay until last week when the president of the
Liberal Democrats received a letter from Mundine resigning from the
party. Leyonhjelm wasn't totally surprised: he'd been watching
Mundine's recent pro-Liberal tweets. https://menafn.com/1098007828/View-from-The-Hill-Morrisons-Gilmore-candidate-is-the-man-whos-been-everywhere |

Malcolm was a little bit conflicted as you may recall ... a Socialist in Conservatives clothing! ... maybe he wanted to be "seen" to be trying to save a woman... you will note that he didn't, and the fuss about Mundine's appointment is from the same group who wanted Kelly replaced by a former ALP Mayor ... ironically. What of the rest of what I said? ... Trent Zimmerman ring a bell? What about Michael Photios, he seems to have a big interest in renewable energy, just like little Alex Turnbull does ...

It is an interesting point though - a lot of people seem to leave the left of politics for the right, when they "see the light" ... not the other ...

Survey Finds Anthony Mundine Has A Better Chance At Winning GilmoreFriend of the Prime Minister, Warren Mundine, is the Liberal’s candidate for the Federal Division of Gilmore at this year’s election, and many in the party are calling it ‘the Despite Mundine not having Liberal Party membership until this week, Scott Morrison reportedly handpicked him to make sure the Coalition didn’t lose the seat to an independent. Speaking exclusively to The Advocate this morning via telephone, “We are confident that my friend, Warren, who’s tried to enter politics through four different parties, will win Gilmore and be an outstanding member of parliament,” said Scott. “Bill Shorten called this morning actually and asked me why I did it? He asked me if there was anything he should know? Like if there are higher powers trying to install him as Prime Minister?” “I just laughed and said no. We’re going to crush that pencil head hi-vis private school boy at this election and then whoever comes after him. Not even Tanya could beat me now!” However, a recent phone survey conducted by The Advocate’s receptionist on his lunch break has found that Warren Mundine’s cousin’s kid, Anthony Mundine, stands a better chance at winning the Gilmore race. After getting his hands on a NSW South Coast White Pages, copyboy Nick Dempsey set out to ring a person from each page until he got bored and drifted off task. Of the 16 people he called, all of them said they’d vote for Anthony over Warren. Speaking to young Nick, whose GP father writes dodgy clonazepam prescriptions for The Advocate’s editor Clancy Overell, NSW South Coast resident Glenn “Say what you want about Anthony Mundine, he’s still the greatest boxer this country has ever produced,” said Glenn. “I’d like to think he’d get things done for our electorate. Say for example, we needed some new mobile towers? Anthony would go see the Telecommunications Minister and tell him he’s got 30 days to put the towers in, or else he’ll come back and punch his public servant kiss head brains out through his ears like a stamped-on tube of toothpaste!” “Warren will just do what Scott tells him and that is not good.” More to come. |
