The Australian Financial Review is an odd stablemate of the SMH- it's as right wing as The Australian, led by an ex The Australian editor. I have seen plenty of Stutchbury on the ABC but I have yet to see him criticise a Liberal policy. Now I read that his son is the Young Liberals president. It figures. |

I think his young bloke got into trouble with the entitled class senior Liberals a few months ago over housing affordability statements. His old man left him out to dry.

Fact check: Did Labor previously make the same arguments as the Government on company tax?The verdictMr Turnbull's claim is close to the mark. The Labor Party cut company tax when it was in government between 1983 and 1996. At the 2010 election, the Gillard Labor government promised to cut company tax if re-elected. When in government, senior members of the Labor Party including Bill Shorten made the same sorts of arguments that the current Government is making about company tax cuts: that they boost investment and job creation and make Australia competitive with other nations. Mr Shorten himself criticised a proposal from the Greens that would have seen the money for "big business" tax cuts diverted to health and welfare spending. Today's Labor Opposition does not merely argue that company tax cuts are unaffordable. It now ridicules the whole concept as "wasteful", "flawed", "trickle down economics" and a "giveaway" that will have a "negligible effect on job creation". The Gillard government argued that its tax cuts were affordable over the forward estimates, paid for by proceeds from the Minerals Resource Rent Tax in the context of a budget that was to return to surplus by 2013. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-06-29/fact-check-labor-on-corporate-tax-cuts/7549754 I just can't wait for him to start telling people how he will be rolling back all of these "EVIL LNP TAX CUTS!!! I'm pretty sure that you can stick a fork in your hero, Bullgelati Bill ... he's fcuked ... I mean cooked. |

Don't you love how the ABC cant possible publish the Verdict as a simple "YES the evidence proves that Turnbull was right!" in their biased Fact Check.
Instead they are begrudgingly like ... "ummm ahhh, well ahhh yes, I suppose we have to acknowledge that Turnbull was right, this time ... OH DAMN!!!" You can just imagine them scurrying around, trying find ANYTHING to change the facts ... the entitled leftards are so pathetic

hey forumites remember that piece about the lying labor politician in Perth, well, the by election has just been held and the liberal candidate has been elected with a 9.1 percent swing.
the excuses are happening, although not specific i think they thought they could play the electorate for idiots. most unlike labor philosophy. Albanese will be he opposition leader soon. Great News for the struggling ALP/Greens Collusion Loyalists! Here Comes ALBO!!! YEP, The Anti Semite, Hard Left, Anti Plastic Bag, hope of the Marxists, is making his moves, sharpening the knife, in readiness for BULLgelati BILL'S FAILURE ON SUPER SATURDAY! ... and lo and behold, HE'S ATTACKING SHORTENOMICS, by calling upon the party to align with the last sensible ALP leadership team in memory, and SUPPORTING THE VIEWS AND POLICIES OF KEATING (CUT CORPORATE TAX RATES) AND HAWKE(CUT TIES WITH THE CFMEU)!!! RUDD/GILLARD/RUDD ... Some things never change! Anthony Albanese lays out his Labor manifesto: reform, growth, aspirationAnthony Albanese has laid out his own Labor manifesto, declaring the ALP must be the party of reform, of economic growth, of aspiration, of an empowered grassroots membership – and a party prepared to be bipartisan in the national interest. The Labor frontbencher has taken the opportunity of delivering the Gough Whitlam address on Friday night to articulate his own broad-ranging vision for Labor in 2018, noting the ALP can’t expect to “slide into government off the back of our opponent’s failures” and saying it is not good enough to say to voters “elect us because the other mob are useless”. https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2018/jun/22/anthony-albanese-lays-out-his-labor-manifesto-reform-growth-aspiration Albanese must be tearing his hair out: PMOpposition Leader Bill Shorten insists there isn't a rift between himself and Anthony Albanese, - TRANSLATION - THERE IS A RIFT BETWEEN BULLgelati BILL AND ANTI SEMITE ALBO - after the Labor frontbencher laid out his vision for the party in a speech on Friday. Mr Albanese called on the party to work more closely with business and ensure it better connects with people who are not union members. "Labor doesn't have to agree with business on issues such as company tax rates, but we do have to engage constructively with business large and small," he said. Some commentators saw this as a swipe at Mr Shorten, who has continually attacked the "top end of town" over personal income and company tax cuts. Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull weighed in saying Labor has demonstrated again and again they are "hopeless" at economic management and its alternative plan in opposition was even worse. https://www.9news.com.au/national/2018/06/24/09/11/albanese-s-views-not-out-of-line-chalmers Break out the popcorn, eh CNNPT! |

I have never claimed infallibility Judge.
When I get it wrong (as scarce as those events may be), I take ownership, I acknowledge it, I rescind it, and I apologise. ... unlike the Lefty Liars that just go "Rrrrreeeeeee!" LOUDER and LOUDER, blame EVERYONE ELSE, become HYSTERICAL and DOUBLE DOWN ON THE FRAUD ... no matter that they have been exposed time and time again ...
