We could all learn something from KKKrankyYankKenNearly! ... how to fail in politics ungracefully!Embarrassed

Loved her interview with Sam Maiden ... apart from the Selective Amnesia, she has a real dislike for foreign people like Dastyari, Obeid, Tropodi, MacDonald ... that wont help here in the melting pot of Bennelong! LOL

Has she done anything about renouncing her Dual Citizenship yet?Confused

I voted yesterday. 12 candidates. Very confused as I said earlier. The classy Kristina representing Bill / Sam vs meathead Alexander representing the paralysed Libs. Ended up putting Alexander number 9 & Kristina number 10 - would have been the other way around if she gave me a bigger smile on the way in. Must have been 30 to 40 outside the Epping Pub of ALL persuasions shoving leaflets in your hands - especially when they realised you were headed for the pre-voting outlet. Even Kristina was getting jittery when she saw one of those - bless her little cotton socks. Gave her a wink on the way out - if only she knew I only ranked her 10th. Greens obviously 12th & the Planet Survival mob 11th. Hope it doesn't end in tears for Kristina - ruin the make up & she does not deserve that !

That is the electorate where the Chinese uncle was bonking the Newsagents 14 yer old daughter .    She went off shore on a study trip and Uncle Sum Ting Wong bludgeoned the rest of her family to death. ( 5 ) I think.
His motive being obvious .     > Crumpet protection is part of some cultures.
No wonder we have phobias about these family trees.

Turning to Beijing: Australia's future in the new Asia

I hope the link works , its a podcast of conversations with Richard Fidler featuring Hugh White . Its a massive eye opener for both the left and right flag wavers and currently relevant with all the Dastyari /Chinese talk .

What is going on is the start of things to come and a serious conversation that needs to be had

What is happening in America with Russian influence should be a wake-up call to Australia

Electoral interference by foreign powers can be probably be identified and managed but what is the end game of these emerging powers has become the real problem for Australia.

Dick Nixon once said the Chinese were the 'smartest people on Earth', or something to that effect. I doubt there is such a thing, but their rise over the last few decades has been remarkable.

Mr Mueller apparently has had a list of all donations and bank records between ALL congresspersons and particularly Russian individuals and banks for some months. He is dealing with the problem at the root cause.

A similar investigation into Chinese(particularly) donors here would be interesting.

Maybe we need a Special Counsel type here, or at least a Federal ICAC

Political will? About zero, I would guess

LNP swarming to a win in the next election.

Crushing win in Bennelong has assured soon to be PM , Tony Abbott of success at the next Federal election.

A 5% margin across the board would see Labor routed.

Should I apply to PT for a job in his Office.

And the 7.5% swing against Labor in the recent New England by election spread uniformly would lose Labor over 20 seats maxie Wink

The year couldn't have finished better for Malcolm (bugger!).

Couple of sitting ALP members to be referred for dual citizenship will make for some interesting "bi" elections - does that mean the Greens will win them?Wink

I fear that Shorten has missed his chance (or did he ever have a chance?).Embarrassed

... my tip is that Bullgelati Bill will be long remembered for his unique ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of certain victory!Dead

$2.50 not a bad price, though. Maybe they have some more bombs to drop, like the Sam saga, which would not have helped "dolly" Kristina.

Good point, The rise of China and India is bound to have a great impact on those in the neighbourhood, just what hegemonic aims they may harbour, is the most important thing.

Sorry Cabosanlucas I missed your post , the quarterly essay would be a lot more comprehensive and well worth a read .
The waning of US influence and their will to act in our region will be tested at some point and you would think Tiawan could be the real ignition point with North Korea just being the entree .

They seem to be playing the long game, the Chinese. America on the other hand seems to politically be tearing itself apart. The orange fool squawking about border walls and MAGA; the Chinese getting on with things. Polishing their guns, bashing their Bibles and pissing it all away.
