yes strange how he argued the opposite when Abbot said the same a while ago.  Couldn't say politicians are hypocritical opportunists Smile

Migration reduction is fine if done for the right reasons. State govts have failed in their infrastructure planning for increasing populations and people gravitating to the major centres for better opportunities. A proper discussion needs to be had with State Govts and a strategy put in place, with a reduction of incoming migration in the short term a likely circuit breaker. I think that we will have to wait for the new Labor Govt to do it properly though.

I'm repeating I know, but our lot had a lot to say to Indonesia for shooting drug runners .   then comes the Embassy.

Most of us understand that Steve Ciobo is an assh0le.  And he's proved to be so once again.

Not content with being publicly outed by Turnbull as a prime conspirator aimed at replacing him (Turnbull) with the unctuous Peter Duddon, he's now upped his disruptive agenda by bagging ScoMo's Israel embassy Captain's Call.

This appears not so much about the right or wrong of ScoMo's very questionable call, but more about chronic Cabinet disunity and the Extreme Right's clear and apparent aim to undermine yet another coalition PM.  Ouch

ps under the last productive Coalition (Howard) government, such comment by a Minister would have resulted in a summons to the PM's office for a good dressing down and his card well and truly marked until the next Cabinet reshuffle.

Nice attempted "unctuous" SC, but I don't think it is quite appropriate for Mr Dutton - he is much more a "utilitarian" or a "pragmatist" wouldn't you say? ... "unctuous" would be far more fitting for almost ANY ALP/Greens MP, in my opinion ... big fan of the word, in any case!Clap.

Otherwise, I agree with your assessment of Steve Ciobo's carry on ... I don't get it?

Forget pandering to the Muslims next door - if the Libs lose the election, the Muslims will run the country anyway, and Bullgelati Bill will probably bow to Di Natale's demands, and we will join in with Hamas, indiscriminately bombing Israel!Dead

Yep, we should vote for the ALP, because they are a socialist collective that never disagree on anything - they even retain the UNELECTABLE SHORTEN as their leader - JUST TO PROVE A POINT!!! ... and no matter that their Economic Terrorism policies combined with their Climate Alarm policies will bankrupt us, and their border security policies will have us over run by unvetted refugees, and see the boats return, they are a much better option than a government that has given us continuity of security, low unemployment, economic growth, a balanced budget ahead of projections ... WAIT A SECOND!Shocked

Sadly the immigration ''debate'' has little to do with infrastructure but rather Morrison caving in to Dutton and the anti brown people mob in the LNP with an internal fight dating back to May. It just remains to be seen where the cut of 20,000+ comes from, to see whether Morrison has any balls at all. I doubt it will be across the board and the post turtle will capitulate to the hard right.

I don't think there is a " brown people " issue .

It's all about what new settlers bring with them.

In any other circumstances, SCOMO would be a dud PM, a no hope.
But given that he replaced the worst PM in Australian history scumbag stooge Turnbully,  the fact is SCOMO looks damn good compared to him.

He is actually refreshing and doesnt walk around smiling like a cheshire cat nob. Geez Turnbully was a deadset shocker.  Happy you are a "ghost" now Turnbully. Off you vanish mate.

Thats what is amazing.
Scomo is ordinary, but compared to the worst PM in Australian history, Turnbully.  Scomo looks good compared to him, thats how astonishingly bad Turnbull was.

I cant even name one thing that Turnbull actually did, other than walk around smiling like a total arrogant nob.

Geez Matthew Guy has given up, he brought in the Wentworth ''kiss of death'', the little desiccated coconut, the only PM to lose his own seat  in to put the final in his own coffin.
