States swing to Labor in grim poll for Turnbull

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has suffered a backlash in Queensland while losing ground in NSW and Victoria, according to a new analysis that reveals a powerful swing to Labor ahead of five byelections this month.

Voters have swung to Labor in every mainland state since the last election, putting Opposition Leader Bill Shorten and his party ahead of the government by 53 to 47 per cent in two-party terms.

The Fairfax/Ipsos results show the government’s support in Queensland in two-party terms has slumped from 54 per cent at the election to 48 per cent over the three months to the end of June.

We're putting together a war chest to fight the Greens. And we're asking for your help.

Please give what you can so we can fight the Greens and their toxic unhinged ideology.

1st use - Fight the Defamation Case

Lawyers are expensive. Any funds donated will be used in the first instance to help fight the possible defamation case that Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young has threatened against Liberal Democrat Senator David Leyonhjelm.

2nd use - Fight them in Elections

If excess funds are donated they will be put towards fighting the Greens in elections. Australia needs new voices in parliament.

My main question is ...

Instead of begging for money, and being a parasite sucking on the public tit, why doesn't Sarah Pantsdown-Young gof***herself?

In fact, I think she should be told, men are clearly sick and tired of f******Sarah Pantsdown-Young, so ...

Sarah Pantsdown-Young,
gof***yourself!!!

Not much - probably a lollipop. Just think her reaction is way over the top. She's entitled to call him out - & then leave it at that. Others can judge as too who is right or wrong. To carry on as if she has been somehow damaged by any of this is an insult to women who "really" get damaged by men. I mean seriously, indigenous women would be on cloud nine if that was the worst that ever happened to them from men in their proximity. Its been my experience in life that unsavoury comments come from both men & women - & i would be surprised if Sarah hadnt taken a few cheap shots re men over the years

& she is going to struggle to prove in a court of law that she has been damaged in some way. Defence will just wheel out the thousands of messages of support on social media. She'll end up having to pay him money for making her a martyr with the women haters. Even if she wins - she will get squat all in damages & it won't change anything as to how women are treated in "everyday" land.

He’s been given the chance to retract, and he’s refused. This means he’s either:

a) a moron

b) making the political calculation that it’s worth it to him

Either way, he’s at least as much a part of this as she is. She’s shown with Zoo Magazine a couple of years ago she’s not afraid to pull that trigger. Wouldn’t be shedding too many tears for this bloke.

I agree he is standing his ground in an attempt to get some much needed political mileage out of it. However think she is as well . She hasn't been damaged - load of crock. Think it will backfire on her. For every one supporting her actions there will be a lot more seeing her actions as petty (& typical)

If there was anything in it at all;

1. Tim Soupspoon and the inHuman Rights Marketing Department would have been all over it as a fitting Swan Song.

2. The Anti-Australian Discrimination Board would have taken it up.

3. She would have used her own money (which is the taxpayers anyway!) to take an action.

The fact is, it's a great big Nothing Burger, which means that this Parasitic Man-hating Fraud has to go begging for money to keep the thing alive - it is simply an attempt to Grand Stand and make herself relevant ...

Among a quality field of Useless Australian Female Politicians, she is the greatest advertisement for merit appointments anyone could ask for!!!Pig

Who woulda thunk?

Star recruit Mark Latham

criticises his new political party

Mark Latham has done it again.

The ex-Labor MP, famous falling out with supporters and employers, has launched an attack on David Leyonhjelm, who recruited him to the Liberal Democrats last year hoping his high profile could deliver hundreds of thousands of extra votes.

In the fight between the libertarian politician and Sarah Hanson-Young over her sex life and attitude towards men, Mr Latham has sided with the Greens senator instead of his party leader.

"David Leyonhjelm is a Liberal Democrat and our slogan is keep government out of the bedroom," he said in a radio interview with 2SM.

"Well you know governments can get out of the bedroom but Leyonhjelm is out there commenting on how many times Sarah Hansen-Young has it off in the bedroom. It's just fundamentally wrong. It's another sad commentary on where the parliament has got to."

Senator Leyonhjelm, who plans to run again at the next election, said Mr Latham appeared to have misunderstood his comments about Senator Hanson-Young. He expressed the wish that Mr Latham wouldn't criticise him in public.

"I'd probably prefer he didn't but not everyone will agree with him so I might gain some votes," he said.

While Mr Latham considers if he will accept Pauline Hanson's offer to stand as a candidate for her One Nation party, critics point to his history of being fired or resigning from organisations, including the Labor Party, The Australian Financial Review and Sky News.

He recorded a campaign message for One Nation in a Queensland byelection under way before doing one for his own party, the Liberal Democrats.

"I am, first and foremost, a political commentator who gives the public my honest opinion," he tweeted on Friday.

Analysts believe recruiting Mr Latham would increase One Nation's chances of winning a Senate seat in NSW, and therefore help rebuild its political influence. But it is unclear if the headstrong Mr Latham would be willing to take direction from Senator Hanson.

"We know how this story ends," Labor Treasury spokesman Chris Bowen said this week.

"Mark Latham has fallen out with everyone he's ever worked with and Pauline Hanson has fallen out with everyone she's ever worked with."

Senators Leyonhjelm and Hanson-Young, in an aside in the Senate on June 28, traded angry words about the propensity of men to comment sexual violence.

She is now threatening to sue him for defamation and claims he "slut shamed" her. He says she characterised men as sexual predators.

Chloe Shorten, the wife of the Leader of the Opposition, leaned over to chat with Governor- General Cosgrove:

"I bought Bill a parrot for his birthday. That bird is so smart, Bill has already taught him to say over two hundred words!”

“Very impressive," said Cosgrove, "but, you do realize he just speaks the words. He doesn't really understand what they all mean.”

"Oh, I know", replied Chloe, “but neither does the parrot."

DIVORCE AGREEMENT.

THIS IS SO INCREDIBLY WELL PUT AND I CAN HARDLY BELIEVE IT'S BY A YOUNG PERSON, A STUDENT!

I'LL VOTE FOR HIM.

Dear Australian Laborites, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Gillard, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this  relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of Australia cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way   Here is a model separation agreement:  Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement.

After that, it should  be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.   We don't like redistributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the ACTU, the Fabian Society and every member of Emily’s  List. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops and the military.

We'll take the nasty, smelly oil industry and you can go with wind, solar and biodiesel.  You can keep the ABC left wingers (particularly Kerry O'Brien) and Bob Brown.   You are, however, responsible for finding an electric vehicle big enough to move all of them.   We'll keep capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Woolworths and the Stock Exchange.

You can have your beloved lifelong welfare dwellers, dole bludgers, homeless, homeboys, hippies, druggies and boat people. We'll keep the budgie smuggling,  bike riding volunteer firemen and lifesavers, greedy CEOs and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and the churches and give you SBS and the Greens.

You can make peace with Iran,  Palestine and the Taliban and we'll retain the right to stand up and fight when threatened. You can have the greenies and war protesters.  When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, political correctness and Penny Wong. You can also have the U.N. But we will no longer be paying the bill.    We'll keep the 4WDs, utes and V8s. You can take every hybrid hatchback you can find.

We'll keep "Waltzing Matilda" and our National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to keep in tune with Peter Garrett as he sings "Imagine", "I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing", "Kum Ba Ya", "We Are The World" and his recent big solo hit,  “Beds and Batts are Burning”.

We'll practice trickle-down economics and you can continue to give trickle-up poverty your best shot. Since  it so often offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Would you agree to this?  If so, please pass it along to other like-minded  conservative Australians and if you do not agree, just hit delete. In the spirit of friendly parting, I'll bet you answer which one of us will need whose help in 15 years.

Sincerely,

John Wall, Australian Law Student.

P.S.     Also, please take Lindsey Tanner, Wayne Swan, Alan Griffin, John Faulkner, SH-Y, Kevin Rudd and Jenny Macklin and Yassmin Abdel Magied with you.

P.S.S.  And you won't have to press 1 for English when you call our country.

Weird how things can be viewed so differently.  Just tell your party to stop pointing fingers and get on and do something.  Something to help this country from being swamped with poverty and greed from those companies you want to keep -  making people who are working constantly have to call Mum and Dad for help as they don't get enough to cover the bills.  Part time work isn't helping the young.  You are training to be a lawyer.  But my daughter did her uni and has a job she loves but not enough hours to cover all the bills if she ever moves out of home.  Another has a full time job but last week had to call in for some money to get tablets and a puffer as she was broke till her next pay.  Ill health is taking every cent saved out of the bank as time at work is less and less for another daughter's husband.  You set up foundations and then let the swindlers get the money and the ones who need it who have no idea how to get help miss out yet again.  Get water to the inland and see the farmers have hope for a future without drought.  Yes they will still have floods but drought is the major destroyer of hope.  Look at all the work done by ordinary Australians to try and keep some breeding stock for these farmers to start again when the drough breaks.  This doesn't have to happen time and time again.  Get off your asses and do something.  Or put Abbott back in at least he was talking about more inland dams.

Oh just opened explorer to do some work and front and centre Turnbull having a shot at Shorten's lies.  Who cares Turnbull.  Stop pointing fingers forget you hate him and start doing some mediating to get things working properly again.  This is what the ordinary person wants.  We are sick of both sides but there isn't much else which offers anything but more of things we don't want.  So the two big parties have to grow up and think of Australia first and themselves last.
