I don't think I'm handicapped either.
A few have thought different though, for a short time. On a good day I can do what I was doing 20 years ago. But not for as long.Sleepy

I think he did a great job.
And will do an even better job in London.

He's probably sorting out the invitations he got from Wills and Kate from those he got from Lizzie and Phil from Harry and Meghan's as we speak.

I can see him at Royal Ascot in a top hat too.

But where does his "pride" fit into that ? I took the meaning of his quip to be that he did not want to be among the ranks of the "officially" handicapped, and his pride would resist him accepting that he was. Storm in a tea-cup, but strange stuff to be talking about in a victory speech. Almost a record for an early gaffe from an elected candidate.

I loved what he said - obviously aimed fair and square at the proliferation of welfare frauds in the community (the old Lebanese back?), who are sending us broke!

Coming from his position as someone who has "proudly" represented his country, it actually means something when he speaks of "pride".

Hopefully he has "shamed" a few fraudsters into standing up from their wheelchairs and becoming contributors to the community, rather than just parasites.

Good on ya JA - a True Blue Aussie who likes a lewd joke - we need more just like you!Clap

You see max, therein lies the problem with our "socialist" media commentators today ... who exactly has "spoken ... reasonably convincingly"?

Just the usual handful of OUTRAGED! left-wing zealot LOSERS of course, who find issue with anyone who speaks honestly, who is not extolling the virtues of SSM, Global Warming, Discrimination and Victimhood - they ar the hand wringers who make it into a "story" for the bed wetters on the 7:30 Report, Insiders and The ProjectCry

... take the sensationalised media coverage away, show that speech to 100 "average" citizens in context, and 95% of them wont even comment on it as good, bad or indifferent ... "The People" really couldn't give two tosses about this crap, they just want to be able to turn the aircon on in summer.

No hope of that happening.

Isn't it funny how you think you can visualise people without ever seeing them. For example I have Scamanda pegged as a handsome middle aged blonde haired guy with a boyish charm. The Judge as a weedy little fellow with nice teeth & glasses. Whale as a rather cumbersome type with a very matter of fact demeanour. Actually I should start a thread on this....

The Feminists are surging from the woodwork lately.    My idol , Peta Credlin has clouded my views of her since she has commenced the 50/50 shxt about Women in Parliament and the choice positions in life.
The Military , Police & Security areas etc.     Codswallop. & brainless.
I love this   = The only thing Females do is slow down Men,   create an additional logistics burden and add relationship drama where it shouldn't exist.
In most physical situations ,   females are a waste of taxpayers money , a burden on men and a detriment to completing any assigned missions.
It isn't the same in real life as the feminists portray it in the movies.

I dunno macca, I reckon we could have stuck a couple of those pink and orange haired 130kg Lesbians we saw leading the violence in the SSM picket lines, straight into the front row for Australia, and won the recent Rugby League World Cup even easier than we did (assuming they didn't get sent off for excessively violent play!).

Sorry Cabosanlucas I missed your post , the quarterly essay would be a lot more comprehensive and well worth a read .Ā
Ā The waning of US influence and their will to act in our region will be tested at some point and you would think Tiawan could be the real ignition point with North Korea just being the entree . Ā

ive got the quarterly essay in its entirety....82 pages . Will have a read soon. I thought the edited version i linked was lengthy enough ....very edited. and i kinda thought that as interesting as it was...it was repetitive. so im looking fwd to reading the whole thing. šŸ‘

Cash to hand over documents linked to AWU raids

2min

Employment Minister Michaelia Cash has to hand over emails, text messages and documents linked to raids on the Australian Workers Union after she lost a legal bid in the Federal Court. Justice Mordecai Bromberg on Wednesday found the AWU had a legitimate reason to see the documents from Senator Cash's office to determine if there was political motivation for the October 24 raids in Melbourne and Sydney. He found the AWU ā€˜has a legitimate forensic purposeā€™ in seeing the communications between Senator Cash and the Registered Organisations Commission. But Senator Cash will not have to hand over all the documents the union sought, with Justice Bromberg limiting access only to relevant ones. Senator Cash needs to hand over her documents by January 5. Mr de Garis and Mr Lee have until January 11, while the FWO has until January 16.

New Year celebrations and the enormous Police and Security protection being advertised ..     The cost has the mind boggling.

Protecting us from What...... ?    The mad hatters Government choose to force into community living..
The drug bombed , Government choose to do nothing about ( provide injecting rooms so none gets wasted )
When will the penny drop ?????     .

I was just thinking the other day, that the cost of greater police "protection", must be a huge budgetary problem.

A greater budget problem to the NSW govt is the half a billion in additional consultancy fees that were paid to the govts mates this last year. Save a hundred million retrenching public servants, spend $500m on consultants and get worse policy outcomes. LNP Ouch
