I'll hazard a guess that, If I google it, I too can master this arcane science of having funny symbols appear.

No Max...this is for anything.

This could be more eclectic than the ABC's political views.

I often wonder how the accent in French words is produced & the UK pound sign. Any clue?

Early life

Day was born in Beaudesert, Queensland to an Irish Australian father and Filipino mother.[4][5] His father took him to Beaudesert Golf Club and enrolled him as a junior member just past his sixth birthday. He was allowed to play six holes a day as a junior. At the age of eight his family moved to Rockhampton and during this period he began to win events in the surrounding districts.

Day's mother sent him to school at Kooralbyn, just a 30 minute drive south of Beaudesert. The Kooralbyn International School has a golf course attached. Later he was to go to Hills International College where they have a Golf Academy[6] at the behest of his coach, Col Swatton, who had moved there when Kooralbyn school closed down.

Day borrowed a book about Tiger Woods from his roommate and it inspired him to improve his golf by practicing in the early morning, at lunch-time and in the evening. He used the book's reports of Woods's scores as his benchmark for improvement and as a reachable standard. His first big win was at the age of 13 in a 2000 Australian Masters junior event on the Gold Coast where he won with scores of 87, 78, 76 and 76.[7]

Every country must have different set-ups because in an ISTANBUL cyber cafe I gave up trying to open my email account.

Couldn't find the @ key

I was talking to my mate yesterday about RACEHORSES from way back.

We talked about NINTOKU....I said, you know in those days it was difficult to find the meaning/relevance of a name.

Today...so easy

Here's a funny story....one told to me today and confirmed by another, my mate  the "WA RACING ENCYCLOPAEDIA".

It's about a high profile racing trainer in WA who has had great success with a particular horse in the last few years.

How he has a licence is beyond me.

Here's the story.

He robs a TAB in K

He wears a stocking over his head, gun in hand

Shouts in TAB "This is a robbery"...(then all starts to go wrong...in a funny way)

A punter replies:

"Come on *******, the fun's over,we know it's you!!!!!"

* extra *'s ,just in case there's a slight chance this story is false.

Here's a good story....A SAINT and not so not so saintly...part 1 of 3

MacKillop began her first school in stables at the Royal Oak Hotel where she lived for a time at Penola – the heart of the Coonawarra wine country. When she was a young governess, she would ride her horse through the Greenrise swamp to Mass every Sunday (Mary MacKillop was habitually a very fine horsewoman who never rode sidesaddle as this painting suggests)
