who was the caller in perth in the late 80's??

loved him, if you backed a horse that was coming last he made you feel better with comments like 'couldnt win if batman was pulling him and superman was pushing him'

cant remember the name, think he got turfed out under a cloud??

Time catches up with everyone. I know it is morbid, but it would be well worth starting a thread about the villagers, who we know have passed on, so we can acknowledge their contribution.

I have also seen some on other sites, I have seen The Shu on Racenet and I have also seen Mummify on there responding as well.
Remember, it might take intelligence to be smart , but it takes experience to be wise

There was also "The Shu" on the Racing And Sports forum as well
Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

I've suggested this a number of times over the years Voyager. Always gets a luke warm reception. I think a "sticky" thread titled something like "Members Whereabouts" would be good.

It is odd - we can have a long-term successful thread like the "Dead Pool" keeping tabs on famous people none of us have never met - yet cant keep one going on contributors that have been part of our lives daily/weekly for years. Funny old world.

Yes - maybe we need to make it a "sticky" to stop it going MIA just like the members.

While i'm at it - why does the AFL thread always get a sticky in Joffs & the NRL doesn't ?  The current page count for 2019 is 5 for AFL & 16 for NRL  Confused

Familiarity can breed contempt at times, I do miss George Moore.
