We have been quite lucky in our breeding endeavours and it was only the 2nd foal we have ever lost.

That's great.  There are few things worse than ending up losing both.

Let's hope it's all clear sailing from here.

Mare is ok now.  Understandably a bit sad for a few days as we all were.

That's truly miserable.

Let's hope the mare gives you a champion next year.

I would of thought with Alize and that good filly overseas he would of had a better amount last season.  He's not there yet but he's proven he can deliver.  Some pretty good onesnever get to do that.

Well Sepoy can get a good colt to go with his good filly.  Maybe he retired too young and is just coming into his own?  Let's hope he has a few more than 55 mares this season.

Interesting G3 winner over 1600m in Germany overnight.  Indian Blessing is from the same family as Helmet.  Wonder if Darley will try that cross in Australia.  They tried once but the filly died and Bullbars was by Sepoy's sire so maybe after this one they will try again.

Well she acquitted herself admirably , a fighting 3rd @ 125/1, and was strong on the line, I feel she might put something on his shelve.

Same boat as you, they deal well usually and $11 can hopefully be $7.7. Should’ve come to Vic sooner imo

If you hang out you will get it

It'd be late season, you can pretty much name your price.

I think it's more of a case that he is a little more seasoned.

Not sure he will make it, hope he does cos thought he would.

Nothing to do with getting cheaper mares or unfashionable mares as you call it imo.

Steve Hewlett reports on Twitter that Fullazaboot has been sold to Hong Kong for seven figures.

Good trade results like that won't harm the reputation.

yes Brad, a fantastic pickup for Tassie breeding. Just missed in the Australian Guineas. i think had he won we would never had seen him down here. he ran sideways up the straight and probably cost himself the race. I know the Mr Blass was very kind in his dealings and thus he is now down in Tassie. Perhaps one day Tasmanian Breeding may owe him a very big thankyou.

Actually I tell a lie Domesday is a little better at 48.3% vs street boss 46%

Quarter of the price , more winners per foals, and three G1 winners, which for comparison is one less than Sebring who has had 200 more foals

That smart remark was meant for Paul/Jim,  not you, Bradjim. Sorry.
I dont mind Domesday at all.  For the price and the right mare I think he is a good deal, and i like the look of him.

High Chapparel & Zabeel blood, it doesn't get much better than that.

100 plus mares in his first season with plenty of mainland support too. we have Sh'bourne Spirit in foal to him with the intent of selling....

Needs Further really doing the job too. took out two feature races last night with the 2 year old race setting a new track record....

Domesdays Winners to Runners is 58%, that is why he didn't make it.

Oh yes they do

I think the main reason is that stat can be deceptive because it depends on how the foal is raised.

Apparently some do not feed properly which shouldn't be a surprise I suppose.
