The great horse has got a really dominant filly here with Nakeeta Jane. She had no right winning 2 weeks ago over 1200m and no right to win today being wide and back off a slow pace and runoff on the turn.

Well done to Newnham. The filly is a credit to him how relaxed she is and how honest she is. No gear on her at all and just a superior filly.

He had a real mover at the sales this year also.  Didn't think much of the pedigree but she could of been a dressage horse.  Moved so smoothly was lovely to watch.  Went for $500K which was well over I thought but worth it if she's as good as she moves.

Is So You Think still $66,000 per fee?

The Autumn Sun is $77,000 per fee
Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

I never realised SYT went dual hemisphere (if he had I would have hoped for MORE SW) but they said he was home-bred.

Those must of only been three when they went to stud Djebel.  So if they don't perform don't hold it against the boy!  He has started well this season but has over the last two seasons he's been in the top 20 so isn't a failure by any means anyway.

With stakesmoney so high across the board in NSW and Vic, So You Think is certainly doing a good job.

His horses win a lot of races. 15th on the Sires List is a good job without a huge single money earner. He is one of the best value to buy at the sales in my opinion. The Sales ring respects him but they are buyable.

I wish Coolmore would put him within the reach of the owner/breeder.

Another good one coming through now with Quick Thinker.

Hope he is half as good, but Quick Thinker reminds me of Shoot Out from the same sireline. Gets his head out long and low with a bold stride.
