And the prospect of a wet track would enhance his chances I'd say.

An absolutely awesome return, if he gets to the outside he wins easily IMHO. You should be pretty excited about his prospects going forward.

No luck at all, much like his 1st up run last prep.

Second up last prep he won by four lengths. Lets hope history repeats itself Big smile

He could've done no more than he did bar get off & carry it, rode the horse to perfection & was urging him along well before straightening, off a very strong early pace. The horse slowly built momentum with early gaps going faster than he & only reached top gear in the last 100m or those in front slowed up. I didn't bet & only saw the race live but those are my impressions Smile

Patience with these stying types is the key!

Good horse, should improve this prep.

Btw, not bad for a disabled horse as Paz dispenser staed in  Page 2 of this thread

I was just alerted to this post, I wasn't caning the ride, just giving the owners a heads up that they're in for some painful rides if they keep this bloke on. He is absolute carp.

You there Vincent? LOL

I'll can the ride, I thought it was terrible. It was like he was NOT looking where he was going.

Terrible ride.

The bloke rides like he could not give a stuff, all too easily put in a pocket, gives it up way too early. That's just stock standard for him not to be looking where he was going.

The horse is drawn out & the track can be leaderish, so I'd imagine they won't change his racing pattern, particularly if aiming for longer races. Many a potential good stayer has been wrecked by pushing them forward, out of their comfort zone & wondering why they a) didn't finish off & b)rip 'n' tear over longer distances; it 'ain't broken so nothing to fix. BOL guys Thumbs Up one thing you won't have to worry about is heat stress LOL. Current feels like is 12.4C Wink

Interesting race. Treasure Map is ex QLD horse with some Saturday metro form. Remerged seems a progressive type. Postnthyme had big raps from the Moroney stable early on.

A good test for Zadon.

Stellarized will also be in the mix one would think, so yep, a pretty good form race I would say.

Rabbs, unfortunately can't help feeling he might settle at the rear, take a while to get moving when first asked, run into traffic and end up a good thing beaten.

We're still making up our minds whether to make the 8-hr return trip.

Wont be heading to Ballarat myself, I am looking forward to see how he handles himself.

He did make ground inside a few last start and I hope doing that has given him a bit more experience when things don't go his way.

Of course there is always an opportunity we may position well from the 1000m mark, get a clear run and run past them down the outside.

The extra 200m of the mile should suit him perfectly at this stage, one would think Smile
