I bought a mare in Dec 2017.  She had the foal she was carrying in Feb 2018.  She was bought as a match to four stallions that would suit her pedigree.  She went to one three times in 2018, then to another.  Empty each time.  The vet is working on the mare.
I live in Ireland.  Three of the stallions are emigrating for 2019 (and out of travel range) leaving the worst as the only possible mate.
I hope to buy another mare at the breeding stock sales in the UK (or possibly France later).  If we get the UK mare we will travel the mare to a sire in France in 2019.
Plenty of research went into the selections (and not much money).

Thanks.  You can make plans, but you can't guarantee.
Fingers crossed we get the "new" mare this week for small money.
The remaining sire for the existing mare will have plenty of time - he serves single figure books. LOL

I bought a mare at Tattersalls Newmarket, UK this morning.  Smile
She was no superstar on the racecourse.  Prices are low.

Mrs Shaw and a few work friends formed a syndicate in 3yo filly Saint Jakkal (Jakkalberry-Saintly Therese) a homebred ATB, has been accepted for her debut at Geelong on Boxing Day over 1300m. However has drawn poorly so wouldn’t be surprised if she scratches. Haven’t been told who rides yet. Will keep you posted

I've got a share in Perpetuity, getting up to a suitable distance in a 1600m maiden at Cranbourne tomorrow.

Furious picked him out in one of the Village yearling comps which is always a good sign!

Star Adele was very unlucky today at Ipswich today. Copped a prat on jumping and hellyer lost the irons. Rattled home from a long last and ran third. Racing is such a fickle thing!
