Hi Beliskner

Fellspur is no longer in work, so you can remove him.
Sava Nuggett is nearing the end, went nicely at Mildura first up, but has since been disappointing at Swan Hill, Nhill, Burrumbeet and last weekend at Great Western.
Will run on the quick back up tomorrow at Hanging Rock, but he is mainly going as a travel buddy for the stablemates.

Cheers
Shawy

Have to tell you this, because it's not just about the thrill of race ownership and the friendships formed, but also about how not winning can still have positives.

For example, Roman Fizz has plenty of part-owners and most have partners and/or children, so there's always about 60 or more there to see him race at city meetings such as that at Caulfield today.

So we got done.  However everyone roundly cheered both him and Maxie Allen when they returned to scale, recognising a terrific effort from horse and jockey.

Running 2nd can be great too.

For some running last delivers as much thrill as winning.
Just the thrill of having a runner is amazing.

Yep, its not about winning or losing, but how you play the game.
Of course winning is an amazing thrill,  but just to have a runner, and enjoy the day, is wonderful.

Part share Rocket Sox - out of a winning half sister to Rock Sturdy. She's an unraced filly by Strategic Maneuver. Strong Gooree connection.

Also own the mare. Have yearling out of the mare, by Dalakhani, going to Easter 2. LOT 434.

Too true Second Chance,
coming first is amazing, but when they try their best, come home well and place, and do so with negatives in their path in the run is a good feeling, shame there is such a big difference in the size of the cheque!!

But not this.

It would be fine if you breed and race your own horses, because you get money at the sales if you sell the horse, and if you race the horse yourself, it would be like having a ticket in the lottery.  You never know what you are going to get, and there is always a chance of the horse having ability and winning decent prizemoney, so of course that would be thrilling.

But if you fork out your hard earned, and pay good money to buy a share in a horse in the first place, as an owner,  the racing game is a very expensive game, and there is absolutely no thrill in continually having to pay $300-400 a month, for your share in a horse which has very limited or no ability, is continually placed in the wrong races, and you have no say as a minority shareholder in where it is run or what they do with the horse, and you also have no option to get out of the horse, it means, you are just consigned to a permanent debt every month, where is the THRILL in that !!!!

To each their own, I suppose Embarrassed

I break in/ work with young horses. I get a thrill when they have a start. Whether they win or run last, I'm just happy to see them on the track knowing all the hard work that has gone into them

I can see that MK.  Must be great to see them reach the racetrack, and even a greater thrill to see them turn out to be very good horses, knowing you had a hand in it.

I forgot to post this morning our mare I'll Miss you was racing at Grafton today. Race 6 over 2200 .
It was a crazy run race, the pace was really on, our girl always settles back with cover, but this time the field was spread over 20 lengths!
She had given the what would be the winner and second place getter 12 lengths at the 700 but ran it out for third. Gutsy girl, gave us another thril.

Updated all horses wins and prizemoney, and also the changes mentioned by posters after i posted the list last time, i think it is completely up to date now.

Out of curiousity, do people like me putting in the wins/prizemoney/blacktype information next to horses as in depth as i do?  Is it fine the way it is, or should i have it but only for the more successful horses?

Also, would posters prefer the horses listed in overall alphabetical order of the horses names, as opposed to how it is now?  I'm not fussed either way, i'm happy to go with whatever the forum would prefer.
