Talk at the trials this morning is that the bank have come calling for some of the millions of debt to be paid down.
Racing Victoria and country racing in urgent talks as they'll likely have to bail them out. They might even have gone guarantee for some of the loans

Well they may as well get a few bucks for it, it's bloody useless. My mates horse came home with 75% of its lungs filled with the track

I read a book about these new synthetic tracks when they first appeared in America about 12 or so years ago.  I remember one of the makers of these tracks saying his track was literally made out of junk materials

You have to wonder if it is healthy for either jockeys or horses to be breathing in the kickback from these tracks

Victoria has the best racing right now.  But getting involved in synthetic tracks has been a mistake.  Even the Queenslanders were smart enough to ditch the cushion track at Toowoomba

Thought this would be best suited here, just in case anyone was interested.

Roads around Pakenham racecourse remain blocked, with the club confirming that while its hopeful its Thursday night meeting goes ahead, it will call it off if the roads in the area remain closed.
