G'day Brains Trust!

Came across this interesting fellow at Warwick Farm in the last tomorrow ...

4yo Bay Horse
D.O.B: 06-Mar-2014
by DEEP IMPACT (JPN)  from KEIAI GERBERA (JPN)
5x Pedigree Report

Japanese bred entire, who was sparingly raced in UK with modest results (7:1-1-1 Stakes placed).

Has drifted to $31 in what would seem an unsuitable 1300m (goes in the multi just in case!Wink).

Was wondering, how does the breeding stack up, being by Deep Impact, I would assume he's meant to be above average ... any clues/thoughts on the dam side?

Cheers!
In reference to every post in the Trump thread ... "There may have been a tiny bit of license taken there" ... Ok, Thanks for the "heads up" PT!

Nothing bad there Dr.  Dam set a 7 fur record in Japan according to Pedigree Online and won up to G3 level.  Nothing jumps out but nothing says won't run.  Just one of those pedigrees that make up the bunch.

It's an interesting older American family, whose foundation mare Fairy Gold was imported from GB in 1903.  Fairy Gold was the dam of Fair Play, sire of Man'O'War.  Fierce Impact's female line traces back to a full sister to Fair Play.

Fierce Impact's dam Keiai Gerbera's branch of the family, other than her and her foals, has gone rather cold.  Her dam is a full sister to useful-but-not-world-beating sire Boundary.  Back one generation, her 2nd dam is a half-sister to the dam of the very good racemare Classy Cathy, who was useful but not world-beating in the broodmare band.

Boundary was best as a miler, Keiai Gerbera won (and set a new track record) at 1400m, Keiai Nautique won at a mile...so I think that 1300-1600m is where this horse needs to run.
