Just watched the replay, she seemed a bit lost. Lack of experience? The winner didn't look to be pulling away from her.

Did everything wrong and was steered into rear ends.

Yet showed a great turn of foot when finally in the clear which was far too late.

I would be inclined to have a rest and come back Autumn for a cheap black type.  Smile

I was wondering why they seemed to be running her so often.

She has got a run. Thumbs Up

Now she just needs luck from that awkward gate on this track.

Awkward gate? I would have thought Mahuta and Flippant's gates were more awkward than hers.

No gate is more awkward than any other if she repeats what she did last start.

Mahuta will go forward and sit on the pace or lead, 20 is not an awkward gate in fact its a good gate, they can take their time going forward.

Gate 6 for a backmarker or midfielder means they will at some stage of the race need luck getting to the outside and on a tight turning track like the Gold Coast it will be a lucky ride that gets her home.

20 is more of an awkward gate. The only difference is the horse in 20 is a hell of a lot more versatile.

20 is no good to you unless you go back anyway or you go forward and you get across cheaply. A wide draw would have been the end of Egyptian Symbol. She settles midfield and that means 4 deep the trip from a wide gate. This way she gets an economical run and needs only luck to win if she's good enough.

I'd rather need luck than hope she's 5 lengths better than them and can sit 4 deep the trip and still win.

Even more bullish than before the barrier draw.

Flip will get a great cart across the field thanks to Gai's barrier trialer.  Can see her sitting 1/1, 1/2, or getting 3 wide with a trail (hoping not 3 wide in the breeze).

If it plays out how I see it - She will be too strong in the last 200m.  Egyptian (I need a rest) Symbol had her back last start & whilst looming, Flip ran away from her in the last 100m.

If its a bog she may be better chance. They swoop on a bog at the GC.

Heavy - did you get on Path of Justice on Sat......we nearly got there @$26....Still grabbed $7pl so cant complain but would have been huge.  They backed it hard late $26 into $12

She had the added handicap of Glyn Schofield. They have to sack him and put on a jock that knows how to avoid traffic.

Stiff today. With clear running when it mattered
Would've been getting the bikkies I reckon.

Didn't get out until the 200m mark and still couldn't beat the 2nd horse. Needs momentum and good barriers are wasted on this horse. Tracks favouring leaders like Wyong and the GC are interesting targets too. Get it too a big open track like Randwick and you will see her really open up like a drama queen at a psychologist

Yes, she needs a big track and a better jockey. Can't argue with any of the above. Schofield should hang his head after that garbage.

Hopefully all this racing to get into this race does not stuff her future.

Her campaign is like we used to see with half the Slipper field in years gone by with trainers running in everything to get into the race.
