(It appears POLAR SUCCESS,winner of the 2003 Golden Slipper, was purchased by ROGY for 32k and DEAN is not in the ownership ...more research needed)

SAVABEEL...not sure but owners listed as  ROGY  (ROGERSON)      REID      WHITBY     CHOY   and ACHURCH....the latter having a share in POLAR SUCCESS.

Savabeel won the 2004 COX PLATE

Both these horses ran in Rogy's familiar colours.

I understood that DEAN was Rogy's secretary (like that)....remember the text inadvertantly sent to the STEWARDS stating" we are going to give the horse a run"(sic)

History of Dean Watt Bloodstock

In 1986, having gained industry experience since 1982, Dean Watt successfully commenced his Thoroughbred Consultancy “Dean Watt Bloodstock” which remains actively trading today. This company does consulting work to the Thoroughbred Industry and is separate trading business from Dynamic Syndications.

Dean Watt Bloodstock is a long standing member of the Federation of Bloodstock Agents - Australia Ltd.

In 1994, Dean Watt Bloodstock was the first company ever to be awarded a private contract to supply 87 horses in one single order delivered by cargo plane to South Korea. Previously offered by Tender, the Seoul Racehorse Owners Association bestowed a great honour upon Dean by creating a protocol to award Dean Watt Bloodstock the contract directly.

In 1995, Dean expanded his consultancy and also became a licenced Racehorse Syndicator

In 1996, as a personal challenge whilst continuing his bloodstock consultancy work, Dean became a Licenced Racehorse Trainer in NSW (SERA), training several winners over a short period before ceasing training, to concentrate on his racing administration career.

It was never his career intention to become a Racehorse Trainer. However to truly understand the workings of a racing stable and communicate effectively with all owners and industry suppliers (Trainers, Veterinarians, Jockey’s, Track Riders, Strappers, Feed & Produce Merchants, Transporters and Racing Administrators, etc.,) the only way to gain a full understandings of the intricacies of the sport was to take a hands-on approach.

After his experiment to prove to himself that he could achieve success as a trainer and after a step learning curve of industry practice and protocol, Dean concentrated back on his consultancy and the business continued to thrive.

In 2001 a proposition was put forward to Dean by a leading high profile Randwick trainer, to run Dean’s company through the one Randwick stable. After due consideration, a business model and relationship was agreed. By joining forces, Dean became the market leader at syndicating exciting racehorse prospects.

During this period, our syndicated horses excelled winning many good races including the Cox Plate and Spring Champion - Winner SAVABEEL, Golden Slipper and Riesling Slipper - Winner POLAR SUCCESS, Caulfield Guineas - Winner ECONSUL, Magic Millions and Widden Stakes - Winner BRADBURY’S LUCK, etc.

In 2004 Dean created Dynamic Syndications and relocated his Bloodstock Consultancy to the Sydney CBD.

In 2005 Dean purchased at the yearling sales his first crop of racehorses under the Dynamic Syndications banner.

In 2006 Dean's skills and eye for bloodstock resulted in him being appointed as a Judge - Thoroughbred Section - Brisbane Royal Show. We remain syndicating under the name of Dynamic Syndications and we remain doing consultancy work under the name Dean Watt Bloodstock.

In 2009 Dean relocated Dynamic Syndications office from the Sydney CBD to the more conveniently located suburb of Hurstville which is central for all aspects of the racing industry.

Quote....the newspapers

POLAR SUCCESS...... "Bought by Rogerson for 32k at MM sales last year"

"Rogerson and bloodstock agent Dean Watt then syndicated the filly, selling shares at 7,000 apiece to nine men who mostly had never raced a horse before

owners....Rogerson     G JAMES     M ACHURCH    J HOUSTON   T WILKINSON   M EDWARDS  D DOHERTY                                       J BEDDARD      S SWAIN     and R BOWELL

I guess Dean works on the line..... like  a lotto kiosk seller claiming they gave the winning numbers to some lucky player.

....perhaps DEAN made the syndicate he FORMED,  agree to pass all trophies to him. Who knows?

Only a very select few Syndicators are worth their while!

The mark-ups are atrocious with many, including fixed training fees!

Stay away from any that charge a fixed monthly fee ..... ripoff & rort! A few that do charge a fixed monthly fee at a reasonable rate are few and far between!

Question the Syndicator about the costs but buyer beware!

A crowd up here in Qld acclaim they only make $4-5k on each horse they syndicate. Once I did the figures!?!? ..... their figures did not add up and were proved to be talking up their backside!

Do the research .....

yes pays to research . Management fees I can sort of understand as long as they are reasonable but 100 000 mark up on a horse after the sales is absolute bullgelati . Noms, transport, breaking, insurance, spelling couldn't cost more than 30 000 . Plus commission (finders fee 12% ) is another 12k .whats the other 58 000 charged for ? Buyer beware but newbies will get burnt .

He bills trainers and owners and Keeps trophies.

Best top go to trainer direct, as the trainer selects and wants to train the horse. A trainer with a bloodstock agent that has good track record is a bonus.

I'm not sure he has the COX PLATE or GOLDEN SLIPPER.Reckon his chances of physically having them would be at 1%. Happy to be proven wrong.

Rogy is the one who could confirm.

After all,it appears ROGY bought POLAR SUCCESS and SAVABEEL and had a share in both, and was the trainer. Dean only arranged the syndication from Rogy's premises?,then.

Rogy would be an idiot to let DEAN have those trophies.

*********************

Dynamic currently has an ad stating.....race the best with the best...referring to Gai and his Syndication(or  a reference to nice owners for fear of breaking the laws of syndicate advertising)....nothing to show yet, so have to resort to a photo of REWARD FOR EFFORT from the Moody stable.

They may have to use this photo for a long time to come.

Trophies: First choice should be given to the largest shareholder, who then pays % of the value of the trophy to the remaining owners.

This will give the remaining owners a chance to buy a replica with their own funds.

Most trophies are worth fark-all so until you get to Stakes level there is no need for this IMO. Horses I have raced have always just taken turns as to who gets the trophy. When it gets to the point of the trophy value being mentioned in the prizemkney breakdown then we have done what you suggest.

Slipper trophy a labour of love for maker

Helen Velissaris

Sydney

Wednesday 16 March 2016, 2:23pm

It's not every day you see a trophy with a 24-carat gold-plated comfort shoe as its centerpiece.

But the Golden Slipper trophy perfectly encapsulates what the richest two-year-old horse race in the world is all about.

It's worth $23,000, includes the best Italian marble and has a detachable golden bow brooch that's encrusted with 74 diamonds.

And it's also a labour of love for Victorian silversmith David Russ.

"You've just got to take your time with it and make sure you get it right," he told AAP.

"It's one of those trophies that once people see it, they identify it with the race."

He has been tasked with crafting the trophy over the past three years, and makes some of the biggest horse racing trophies for the packed Group One racing calendar.

The Sydney Cup, the Doncaster Mile, Caulfield Cup, The BMW and the Golden Rose keep the one-man operation busy.

The Slipper trophy takes about three weeks to make and involves plating, engraving as well as the construction of a marble base.

And thanks to Russ' wife Karen, even more effort is spent on the nine-carat gold bow that detaches from the slipper.

"My wife's a jeweller so she plays a big part in the brooch and she was also the one that redesigned it," he said.

He also designs the trainer and jockey trophies - and for the Slipper in particular, makes a trophy for the breeder.

Away from the workshop, Russ also sports an interest in the racing industry.

"I'm into thoroughbreds a little bit, my in-laws are small-time breeders in thoroughbreds so they were pretty stoked when I got into the trophy side of things," he said.

While you can't study trophy making, Russ honed his skills by restoring antiques, breathing new life into ornate silver teapots and intricate helmets.

His workshop in the northwest Victorian town of St Arnaud is full of oddities waiting to be restored.

But trophies are his biggest business, with many part-owners in successful racehorses asking him to build replica momentos.

– AAP

Watt’s appropriate and Watt is not
DYNAMIC Syndications’ Dean Watt was cautioned by stewards on Saturday for using foul language towards a trainer at Rosehill a fortnight ago.

It came after a protest hearing involving the rival trainer and one of Dynamic Syndications’ horses that day.

It is understood the trainer did not make an official complaint but stewards spoke to Watt about his language and reminded him that what he said was inappropriate.

My family have had horses in a syndicate, a professional one but a smaller one, and they used to let chance decide.

They would get allocated balls in tattslotto according to their ownership stake and the first ball drawn on the Saturday night gets the trophy.

They'd allocate 1-40, if 41-45 was drawn it would go to the 2nd ball, 3rd ball etc.

So if you had 5% ownership you'd get allocated 2 balls, 10% ownership 4 balls, 20% ownership 8 balls etc.

E&E just caught up with this comment of yours ....

They don't reply, communication is pathetic, amateurs at their very best! Information is not factual but based on opinion! They don't tell the story straight, they know how to waffle on, can't keep confidential information tight-lipped & they are tragic used car salesmen!

Word has got around and they are struggling to get clients for their syndicates.

One of their syndicates at present is struggling to be filled! However the suckers will be sucked in eventually!

They believe their horse charges are going a lot better than what is shown on Raceday! Talk it up .... talk it up! Some of the correspondence & comments I receive from these TRAGICS are beyond comprehension!

Probably no different to a lot of syndicate managers out there! However I've seen plenty & I mean plenty worse than these guys!

They are in it for their own fulfillment = $$$$$$$$$$$$

They spilll out crap regarding how much they make on each horse - 4-5 k from each horse syndicated! Turn it up ,,, turn it up!!!!!! Caught out once and no doubt will be caught out again!!!

Absolute rubbish ......

Recommendation - STAY AWAY ...
