One would have thought a trainer with Weirs reputation would have got a stayer out of New Approach She's Archie daughter but he raced her into the ground in unsuitable races as we have all come to expect.

Let's hope he does not kiss up Fifty Stars.

He always says they need galloping, trials & races from the farm as the heavy sand takes the speed out of their legs.

He did have 6 runners in one race, multiple in many others. those stats don’t mean much when you take that into account

Darren Weir has taken over the training of the former Lloyd Williams owned Doumaran.
At his final two runs for Macedon Lodge, he refused to leave the barriers at Caulfield early in 2016.
He had a barrier trial at Cranbourne (still with Lloyd) in Nov 216 and stayed in the gates again.

At the Burrumbeet jumpouts in early Aug 2018 after a lengthy spell and change of ownership, he refused to leave the barriers yet again.

Put the best 50 horses in the Weir yard into the 10th ranked European or Japanese yard and they would all improve 10 lengths.

I am saying his training methods, The training methods or more to the point the racing campaigns of our top horses and our potential stayers is deplorable. It is not just a Darren Weirism, it is across the board.

Winx is a freak who is the exception to the rule.

Weir has all the fire power, He has the best horses in the country and the most promising horses in the country.

I have absolutely no doubt most of his quirky horses would be better placed in stables where they could get better individual attention.

Or perhaps his methods produce horses who reach their full potential?
Huge numbers go thru' the place, yet few city grade horses reproduce or improve when moved on, tho' the opposite can be said re. horses from other stables.

The horses are wrecked when they leave.

There is no way you could say they reach their potential. Even his best performed horse Humidor, It is impossible to say he has reached his full potential, He is so inconsistent and erratic.
