With all this Hype about goodsey and outa credit., These dogs might have big motors and run good races when they feel like.

I think the best Up and coming dog in AUS right now is Damek, This bloke, Jumps well, Chases hard and has a massive motor.

He was 0.10 off equalling lilli pilli lad's time of 25.13 and in his second race start at launceston he went 0.07 off equalling big mooses record of 29.50

Both those dogs were great dogs in there own right, i have no doubt, he will break both records in the long run and will rack up some wins in Mainland AUS.

His semi win of late was a terrific one. He almost fell, was stone motherless last about 15 lengths of first, and still went right through to the field and smashed his opposition..

He tick every box with me, including the fact his whole litter seems to be quick and going well.

This game is exciting and i wish the connections of Damek the very best with him.

Too Right Dogcash

Aliwishus jones 29.79 run off the 6 box was a good run, considering how much pace he had to overcome it.
I think he is QLD's best young dog coming through and probably in my top 3 AUS wide atm.

Along with Elite Blue Size, the three of them could really make inroads..

I think when people look at good dogs, box manners and early pace is as important or maybe even more important than run home times..

for sure...look at goodesy....probably biggest motor of any dog going, but you cant win these big races giving them a start.....thats why high earner would be a great dog to own, puts itself in race every time....be interesting to see what they do with goodesy, I heard it was being transferred to melbourne, I wonder if they will try it over 600+

dogs racing in Tassie or Brisbane have a lot to prove at Wentworth Park or in Mebourne before they be called anything.

Goodsey is a good example. Very fast but struggles in town.

I'd like to own Proven Jett, El Grand Signor, Latifi Jiam or Arsonist.

All or not 2 for at least a few months (except Arsonist 15/4) )and have big futures.

El Grand Signor is a terrific pup, Really gets going early on and keeps it going.
My only question with him is, will he handle the tight tracks like Wenty, The Gardens, Angle Park and Even the Meadows.

He is near 40kg and will need to be in front on those tracks.

I'd love too see a race is AUS, were they invited the most proming pup from each state, For example.

We currently have a State and Naional distance Comp.

Why not for interest, introduce a State and National series for dogs under 24 months old.

There is always contention from each state when the topic comes up "Best up and comer"

The Peter Mossman is a great Example in NSW, showcasing our best youngsters.

Maybe a national series is needed..

Just food for thought!!

STAR Tasmanian greyhound Damek is due to make his interstate debut in Victoria tomorrow night but a hiccup with air transport arrangements has cast some doubt over him taking his place in the grade five series at Sandown Park.

Damek was supposed to make the trip to Melbourne on Tuesday but the plane was cancelled and a further delay was caused when connections were notified that the subsequent flight on which he was booked today would have left the dog in a holding area for up to four hours.

The dog's part-owner June Philips said the only sensible option left was to travel the dog on the day of the race.

"In the end we decided to send the dog over with his handler Ian Thomas on the day of the race because that should alleviate any chance of the d0og being put in a holding area for any great length of time," Mrs Phillips said.

"But if the dog doesn't have everything go his way on the trip he won't start."

"But I saying that we are quite confident everything will go ahead as planned and we are just hoping for a good result in his race," she said.

Damek is unbeaten from seven starts in Tasmania with his last two efforts in Launceston record-breaking efforts.

He broke Big Moose's track record when he won his heat if the Illingworth Classic, clocking 29.45 for the 515-metre trip, which carved 0.05 off Big Moose's previous record that he set in March 2008.

Damek followed up in the Illingworth final with a scintillating run of 29.40 to better his own record.

He has drawn box two in tomorrow night's heat at Sandown with a relatively slow beginner on his outside (box 3) but a speedster on his inside (1).

Yeh no doubt something wrong with the dog...to run like that...and he was flown over the morning before the race...whever thats got anything to do with it who knows... and on the same hand...they all look good these young hyped up fast dogs when there getting things there own way...but once they start missing the kick ..checked in the runs...they'll turn it up...Aliwishus jones is a classic example of it...Unhappy
