They called Darren Flindell "BOOM" yesterday.

That made me laugh.

He made a real mess of "YELLOW COLOURS" yesterday...the race won by MISS DENI

Yellow colours were a curse yesterday...the caller messed up TOTALLY on Bolivian Dash(Armidale)

Darren has "SENIORS MOMENTS" in his calls, not a good sign.

He blew his or lost it?

DRUNK, rejected and "crazed", Ron Papps smothered his wife with a pillow and then chased her down, vowing to "get" her like he had "wanted to do for a while".

The famed race caller was seeking "cuddles" from his wife, Judy, who had been sleeping in a separate bed since they each suffered serious health concerns in the preceding two years.

Yesterday, in the Supreme Court sitting at Port Augusta, Justice Ann Vanstone said Papps had snapped after his wife again refused intimacy

Dale Spriggs gave up riding in the saddle after marrying a THAI girl, last year?

Coffee and burgers are more exciting @ his SHOP in FORSTER NSW....he runs on the beach and weighs 61kg......Dale will be sending money home to the THAI family?....the sons of Thai families sit on the lounge all day and their sisters are sent out to work.

That's life.

I wonder if he can actually see the horses at times..

He Usually stays out of calling a winner if there is about a half length in the result.

Even a cursory glance at the list of award recipients, which you've clearly not done, will reveal that the majority of the awards are indeed conferred for community service and similar selfless activities.

And if you've bothered to read my post, I am basically saying that Greg should NOT receive an OAM as he calls horses over the line. Should we award one to every single sports commentator?

Or do I need to spell that out for you?

Virtue is its own reward. I'd venture many people who deserve recognition have declined it, surely they just don't find out at the public announcement ? A chap I know who has performed outstanding community service for many years for zero financial reward, told me not to nominate him, when I floated the idea, he did not want it.

Another example of the state of our nation.

Another award for a straight white Anglo old male for ordinary work.

Australian of the year was some old white Anglo male from the army. Wants to address domestic violence, approve gay marriages and multiculturalism ..... Lol everything the Australian army is not.

A disgrace.

Well the Australian of the Year received his gong for attempting, over a period of four years, to achieve much needed diversity and gender equality in the Armed Services.  Most of us applaud the Honour bestowed him.  But then again he was only doing his job as Army Chief.

Just like Greg Miles has been doing his job to the best of his ability over the course of four decades.

gotta hang up the binocs Greg, that call of the first at MV is embarrassing - yes, you've been a long time servant of racing and hence the OAM but this is worse than Greg Chappell making all those ducks at the end - noticed on Bf the winner was matched at 1000/1 for $10 so someone profited out of your ineptitude
