He's a rising 4yo.

I really hope they just let him be the fastest horse in Australia.

Anyone know why this horse has been so disappointing?

I remember this horses first start in the breeders plate at Randwick , just charged and looked to be racing on fear , either that or he has bolted sometime in trackwork and he's got away with it , limited lung capacity just like the horse that beat him Khan who has won only once since over 5furl.

Bled on 18 August 2018. But I see it was also banned on 7th September 2017. Anyone work out what that was for?

Didn't race or trial for 11 months after the (possible/probable) September 2017 ban, which was 13 days after he settled 2nd before dropping out to finish 2nd last in a 3yo Group 3.

A bit confusing as he'd presumably have been banned after the recent bleed were it preceded by an earlier one.

Found this on RNSW site

Please note the following in relation to Rosehill Gardens on Saturday (28th July 2018)

In Race 5, No.5 – CONDOR HEROES: Trainer Gerald Ryan has reported that the colt sustained a fracture to the off foreleg since its last start (Rosehill – 26/8/17). A specialist clearance has been received and the galloper has trialled at Rosehill on 9/7/18 and at Warwick Farm 20/7/18.

Thanks for that. Much appreciated.

Not sure what to expect from the horse on Saturday. Trialled very well but has a history of trialling well and racing poorly. Been gelded since last poor prep of just two starts. Horse has ability. Or at least he's very fast. Has a G2 placing over 1100m as 2yo. On Sat he's in a very weak 1000m race at the Valley. Could win by 3 or run last.

He has been gelded.

He was the fastest horse since Vain.

He wins in a canter.

Actually there is reason for some cautious optimism for Saturday if you look closely at his trialling/racing history.

19/11/16 #trial# won by 9 lengths
01/10/16 2nd listed Breeders Plate

31/01/17 #trial# won by 8 lengths
22/03/17 won Warwick Farm maiden
01/04/17 2nd G3 Kindergarten Stakes

01/08/17 #trial# won by 6 lengths
26/08/17 unplaced
07/09/17 diagnosed with bone fracture (one would suspect incurred in recent race)

09/07/18 #trial# won by 4 lengths
28/07/18 2nd Rosehill
18/08/18 bled at Randwick

Changed stables from GA Ryan to DA Hayes

01/02/19 unplaced Moonee Valley
01/03/19 unplaced Moonee Valley

Gelded

15/07/19 #trial# won by 7 lengths

If you look into form in detail, it's not as bad as all that, especially after he trials well. In fact after trialling well (winning by 4 lengths or more) he's won once and finished 2nd twice. His only failure after a good trial was when he likely fractured his leg.

Now caveat on this is I don't know how he was going prior to his two runs for David Hayes. It's possible he easily won a barrier trial or jump out prior to racing. I just have no record of it.

Another positive is the gelding operation. It may help him be more relaxed in his races and be more genuine.

Who knows.  Only thing I do know is that yours truly won't be taking the current $4 from about barrier 10 at the Valley.

Hard enough to back a winner when they are fit as well as sound , this horse has a poor history and imo a dud, however after that rather crude but truthfull assessment it will probably win but if your on you will be looking for a brandy at the 100 .

He looks good on paper.
But would I take the price.... short answer is No.

Good luck to those taking the odds though, fair chance he will win if I steer clear

Just heard on Get On that since 2016 if you'd backed all horses the run after they had been gelded you would be winning 14% POT. And there have been a lot of horses in that survey.

But how many of those had fractured a leg AND bled?

Big drifter, unsurprisingly caught wide.  Probably did enough to be a chance in a midweeker.

Get to scorch around Perth from now on.

The state of speed should suit him.
