We don't get out of bed for races under $1M Tlaz. LOL

Race of many questions, some of which will be answered today.
Is Harnell still G1 material?
Can TS overcome the wide barrier?
Was Brave Smash an anomaly first up, or in the Everest?
Can Thronum run 1400m at WFA?
Are others WFA quality - Shillelagh, Mighty Boss, Tshahitsi, Mr Sneaky.

Disappointed Bart is out. Could be the end of the line.

Brave Smash looks ell placed to my eye. Definite value in the race!

Think someone mentioned BHB has an abcess, unrelated to his other feet problems. Futurity next.

I am not convinced he is a winner.

Yep, stable saying he is feeling okay this morning, just had to have some medical treatment which means he can’t run.

Stable also saying Tosen Stardom will be undefeated this prep

I took Hartnell early days.
$7 with 11c deductions BHB.

I couldn't imagine that price 12 months ago.

Brave Smash will improve here. 1400m to suit.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left

If Winx is the queen of the turf, then Single Gaze is the princess.

LOL There were some hard done by horses.

I thought Brave Smash wins if given half a chance in the straight. But I'm glad he didn't because I was on Hartnell.

And no deductions, ALL IN. Big smile

Just imagine what Single Gaze's record would be if she hadn't of fallen in the Oaks.  That was her best first up run ever.

Partly a victim of circumstance but that was poor by Lane on the fave. Looked to change his mind about three times in the first furlong. Credit to the horse for finishing as close as he did.

This is not a criticism, Judge just an observation.

Tosen Stardom is not a Caulfield horse. Yes, I know he runs well, and he is a group 1 winner there, but these 1400m fake group 1's, are not his go.

At least if you run him at Caulfield, make sure the distance is 1800m+.

I agree with you Judge, I thought his run was very good for the rest of his prep.

I know Winx will be there, but the Queen Elizabeth at Randwick is a suitable race, conditions wise, and second prizemoney is more than most races winning prize.

Big win Hartnell ,    never on the course ,    Tosen Stardom was worse served and only faltered final stages, after taking off mid race 5 wide.
Gave the winner a cart into it.       Both will improve.

She wins today with that inside run if she didn't get checked and held up from the 250 m to the 150 m.

Thought the horse raced far too fresh, i guess it pays for the jock to take it on the chin whilst the trainer is lavishly praised.

Dollar for Dollar (#9) has finished 9th about 1.25 from the winner.  He was contesting Benchmark races up until November last year and certainly the least suited to the WFA conditions.

Stewards said he was not afforded full running in the last 100m - because Thronum was squarely in the way and Mighty Boss who was absolutely luckless in the straight was on his outside.

Mighty Boss clipped the heels of Lord of the Sky at the furlong trying to get out from under Tosen Stardom and was the hard luck story of the race.

Yea she was ready to rock and roll and the 51s was nice odds.
Write off last prep as she didn't come back after near death experience after Adelaide win, looks to have come back ready to roll. Leave her out of your blackbook at your peril.  Caulfiel Cup?? Look for her over 1800 - 2000m.
Nolan crucified her in the run. Behind a wall of horses turning for home. Baulked and Nolan didn't take the run when presented, had to come around five horses in run home. When clear bolted home. Have a look at the replay. With a clear run Hartnell would've been the bridesmaid.

I thinl so, too.  Look at the photo and see him with an uninterupted run and her trying for a fence space.  Couple more strides and she has him.   Just MHO of course.

The best runs in the race were Hartnel and TS who ran 4/5 wide the entire race. Those hard luck stories had much cushier runs so please spare the hard luck stories
