Such a shame. This horse is finished.

Very disappointing. The drift told the story anyway.

That stable has been out of form for a while now. Stay well clear.

That is not good, I have plonked the dinner money on the stable in the last.

Good luck djebel. Ran a nice race at Sandown and the mile suits today.

I've always rated Mitch as a trainer. When he first came onto the scene he was training winners left, right and centre. Just the last 6 months he's been quiet. He did relocate his business to Ballarat which may be playing a part. Takes a while to get into a routine under new surroundings.

I think he can turn it around but at the moment he's stinking it up.

Must have issues. Has lost a dozen lengths in 6 months.

Stable moved from warrnambool to Ballarat.
Explains a lot.

No mention of any issues in the Stewards Report. Mellham used the excuse that he may have resented racing inside other horses.

It does looks like he's cooked. l'd give him one more run though. Find a race down the straight at headquarters. Get him to the outside and see if anything is there.

If he fails, tip him out again and if l was the owner l'd look elsewhere. A new environment could get him going again.

It really depends on why he's lost his form.

If he's not sound, send him to a small stable where he gets that extra care.

If he's simply out of form and not putting in - then he should go to a big boy stable like the Snowden's.

I'd love to know what the reason is. He put together 2 or 3 brilliant runs. They weren't flukes.

Surprised to see him come up favourite today. He couldn't go a yard at his last two runs.

But he's had the ultimate gear change - gelded.

Thoughts?

I don't know if l should take him on or not. At his best he'd absolutely smash this field, there's no doubt about that.

Much better today!

Had no luck at various stages.

I hate straight racing when there's an obvious bias. Everyone is looking for the same lane. One day a jockey will go flying over the outside fence.
