Currie's legal team must be really rattling up the fees.

Queensland Racing Integrity Commission stewards informed Curre’s legal representative of the charge on Friday afternoon.

Last month, QRIC told Currie he would face three charges at an inquiry on January 14.

In a media release QRIC said the fourth charge against Currie would allege he brought winner Dreamscope to race at Toowoomba on September 16 with prohibited substances in its system.

The previous alleged prohibited substance breaches relate to Wicked Trilogy on December 2, 2017 at Kilcoy, Shakira on January 28 at Toowoomba and Karaharaga on July 6 at Rockhampton.

QRIC has not identified the substance involved.

All four charges will be heard together and are unrelated to other charges Currie is facing.

Currie’s legal team will not comment on the charges until all details are clear."

This could be the human version of Chatauqua's antics now.

Surely this trainer is just taking the p#@s.

Well it is now time for the stewards to “put up or shut up “. Name the substance and stand him down, or let him walk. The credibility of QRIC is on the line here. The public is watching and asking how somebody with so many charges can keep operating as normal, without impediment. If he is found guilty of earlier charges, the question will b “why did he keep racing horses and making money”. Name the substance and bite the bullet QRIC, or remove Integrity from your name.

To be fair on QRIC they did stand him down and it was QCAT that allowed him to continue training. That demonstrates a failure of the system structure more so than any individual body. One would think that returning positive swabs would breach the terms stay granted by QCAT. If not then there is very little recourse for QRIC other than to manage the case in the same convoluted manner as all others.

Someone on Twitter asked ''why aren't the bookmakers taking a class action to stop Currie''......they are the losers after all.

Actually when you think about it, that person is onto something, maybe they will bet ''Currie out'' and not take bets on his horses, wonder how that would stand legally.

It wouldn’t. Racing Qld should seek an injunction perhaps
