Wouldn't he get too much weight? There's a lot of 2000m WFA races for him at that time of year that he would be hard to beat in.

I understand the ins and outs but fair dinkum, no fan can be happy to see him spelling after todays trot and canter.

Mean while Winx has another stroll in the park.

Sure it probably would have been anyway but it would place some substance into her effort.

Crikeys, it might even boost her rating.

I agree 100%
Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

They have met WInx.  He was slaughtered.  They would rather keep him to the spring and race in the W S Cox Plate without Winx.  That is just looking after a rather good horse.  He's just not in Winx class.

He is undefeated in Sydney.

He should never go near Moonee Valley again.

Yeah his one test in the big league he was found out. The ones he's beating at the moment aren't exactly top liners.

It looked odd ,but I expect they commit themselves at times.     They are both good riders .

Kerrin has already been booked for Red Cardinal when Godolphin decides to run Avilius.
His other rider Bowman was in Dubai, so they booked JMac.

Straight to the QE surely.

Take Winx on and likely lose but would make for an interesting race (finally)

I believe he had an issue in that race mate.

Can't remember, but he is much better than those.

"C'mon , what has he done that would worry Winx ..   look at the clock to compare their wins .

Winx could carry him and win.

I never suggested he'd win mate. Winx is better no doubt.

Just be good to see an in form, quality horse against Winx not the rubbosh we've seen all Autumn.

It's just hreat for racing to have good horses in G1s. Not Waller Camels making up fields.

Plus Max Avilius has not been prepared for 3200 this time so it's vastly different compared to prior meetings.

I was rattling your cage ChrisB....    Put him away and bring him back in the Spring ,     He will shine alongside the Cox P, Caulfield & Melb Cups .

If they keep Harlem at home ....

Very surprised to see him starting his campaign in the Warwick Stks on Saturday over 1400m.

Both local campaigns he’s resumed over 1600m & won both times, so expected the Chelmsford Stks would have been more his go.
