Yes, very interesting. I love the idea of rare bloodlines. If I were a billionaire I would buy a farm and simply devote myself to preserving and propagating rare/ valuable thoroughbred bloodlines, in much the same way as some people collect rare coins.
(In a sense, Stuart Ramsay at Turannga is doing this with his stallion Money or the Gun. Will most likely never be 'commercial', but he can see the value in the blood and doesn't want it to disappear. Commendable in my view.)

Animal Kingdom sold to Japan...

John Messara's Arrowfield Stud owned the majority interest in the 11-year-old son of Leroidesanimaux out of the German-bred Acatenango mare Dalicia and negotiated the purchase, according to Fox. The stallion is still at Darley at Jonabell and will be preparing for quarantine.

Arrowfield bought the majority interest in Animal Kingdom's breeding rights in 2012 and covered his first book of mares in Australia in 2013, making him the first Kentucky Derby winner to launch his stud career there. The stallion then shuttled to Darley at Jonabell for the 2014 Northern Hemisphere season. He shuttled three more times to Arrowfield in 2014, 2015, and 2017 and has remained in the U.S. for the past two breeding seasons.

Animal Kingdom has sired 12 black-type winners worldwide, led by Australian millionaire and group 1 winner Angel of Truth, who won this year's Harrolds Australian Derby (G1).

Hello,
very informative Report by "Blacktypepedigree" with references to other Damlines imported to Germany and still alive in my homecountry.

Of course, I looked at Animal Kingdoms damline. it was my personal interest, why does the "Röttgen Stud" situated at the outskirts of Cologne 2 Mares from Hungary. Well, it should last about more than a decade to solve the mystery.

When i was checking the race resolt of a tzhoroughbred, in one ofo books in my library. On the same page was a the Pedigree of a Racehorse named Anilin (Element-Analogichnaja by Agregat), and here appears in the damline of Agregat the Name Abeba, she is the fourth dam  of the FS Disekvö and Didergö. Didergö is ancesstres of Animal Kingdom.

Anilin, you properly never heard of was bred by the "Voskhod Stud", in the former U.S.S.R., b. c. foaled 13. January 1961, won 22 races, placed 3, raced in the U.S.S.R, Germany, East Germany and U.S.A, from 2 to 6 years, incl. Preis von Europa (3times!), Grand Prize of the Socialist  Countries (wice) and Russian Derby; 2nd Washington D.C. international, 3rd  Washington D.C. International
(Pedigrees of Leading winners from 1960-1980)

Here is the damline, with some references to other "Family members":

Fam. 1-h

Desidera (Shaadi), Buen Ojo (Craganour), Ethnarch (The Tetrarch), Mon Talisman

(Craig an Eran), Amant de Coeur (St. Amant)

Diasprina (Aspros) - Dirndl (Dschingis Khan) - Didergö (Imi) - Duzzogo (Sultan Mahomed) - Dubiosa (Duce) - Abeba (Balbinus) - Az I Hired (Dolomit) - Ardentrive (William The Third) - View (Martagon) - Scene (Springfield) - Helioscene (Hampton) - Sunshine (Thormanby)

Didergö/Dicsekvö (FS) were imported respectively in 1967 and 1971 from Hungary (Kisber Stud). According a report in my country breeders magazine, this line was regarded in Hungary around 1970 as mediocre. The best known offspring (not bred in my Homecountry) is Animal Kingdom

Hello,
sorry I posted my contribution too early!

Both broodmares were imported from Hungary in 1971 (A.D.G.B. Vol. 30, page 110). Hungary was the best of all "Communist Countries"to deal around at that time, but I can imagine, it comprised a lot of "Red Tape" or "Galahs".
Didergö was by far the more succesful one and the German Thoroughbred Studbook" listed a GAG (Handicap mark) of 82,5 kg, obvious she won some important races in Hungary.

regards, Ticino
