American Pharoah was beaten in a tough stretch run by 16/1 Keen Ice in the Travers...

Saratoga continues to be the "Graveyard of Champions".

Truly, though I had concerns about AP with all the Coast-to-Coast travelling. Also the owners were startuing to have too much of a say of where the horse was to tun and I could see by Bob Baffert's after race interview that he was holding back on some words.

Anyway the bubble has burst so they say and the horse will have to prepare for the Breeders Cup Classic - and hopefully he will just train into the event.

Triple crown winner American Pharaoh to stand at Coolmore Stud in Australia

AMERICAN Pharaoh, the 2015 US triple crown winner, will stand at Coolmore Stud in the Hunter Valley this spring.

Coolmore’s Tom Magnier described American Pharoah as a “once-in-a-lifetime horse” and said the interest from Australasian breeders in the sire has been overwhelming.

American Pharoah became the first triple winner since Affirmed in 1978 when he romped away with the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes and Belmont Stakes before being retired after beating older horses in the US Breeders Cup Classic.

“I was at Belmont Park the day he won the third leg of the Triple Crown and I can honestly say I have never seen a racehorse like him in my life,” Magnier said.

“He is a faultless physical specimen and free of Danehill blood, so is a perfect complement to our own band of Fastnet Rock and Danehill mares.

“We will be supporting him with our own quality mares and we have already have already had a number of top breeders approach us with the intention of supporting him heavily.”

American Pharoah, winner of nine of his 11 starts including eight at Group 1 level, will stand at a fee of $66,000 this spring breeding season
