America needs to amend their Amendment, the right to bear arms.

They need to let go of it.
The whole fear mongering of, "The Government and Police will come and hunt you down under a Dictatorship" is bloody ridiculous.

Is the 2nd Amendment "really" just a lack of faith in a democratically elected government?
A lack of faith in the Police force??

Hey, turn up to school, get shot by an angry student.

Go shopping for a few tshirts and have dinner at a food court, get shot by some dude who just broke up with his girlfriend.

The whole thing is absurd.

The ONLY people that should have guns, are the MILITARY and local Police forces.
Their very job is to PROTECT YOU.
YOU DONT NEED YOUR OWN DAMN GUN, unless you think you are a Cop with NO QUALIFICATIONS to be a Cop???

I agree with about 70% of things that the likes of Alex Jones etc say, but they have the whole 2nd Amendment wrong.

Amend your stupid amendment and have FAITH in the Police force. People that are actually bloody qualified to have guns.
Yes, they get it wrong too, BUT, more citizens get it wrong than skilled Police Officers who are actually bloody qualified to carry guns.

Stop the crap America. Be above it.

regards

Australia.

fear that the Robert Rodriguez grindhouse thriller Machete (2010) could start a race war between Mexicans and Americans; that the government controls the weather; that Michelle Obama is really a man; that Hillary Clinton being able to open a jar of pickles on Jimmy Kimmel’s chat show was fixed; that Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl half-time show enacted a Satanic rite; and, most famously, that the Pentagon has a “gay bomb”, chemicals from which it has allowed to leak into the water supply turning “the friggin’ frogs gay!”

the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in December 2012 was “completely faked with actors”, a hoax sponsored by the Obama administration to provide a pretext for introducing stiffer firearms restrictions.

9/11 and the 1995 Oklahoma City bombings were “inside jobs”

the president has access to weather weapons capable of not only creating tornadoes but also moving them around, on demand"

"vaccines are dangerous"

when I was a kid , almost every 12 year old boy had a rifle, went hunting,
The underground mutton ( rabbits ) were in Plague proportion ,   Property owners supplied the ammunition to cull Kangaroos.
No one took any notice .   No one got shot either , maybe the odd" accident ".
Tasmania's Martin Bryant was a Psychiatric , but a couple of others rose to the deliberate shootings too.
    So ban the gun.

Probably a good thing with the unrest of today .

The second amendment does not give everyone the right to bare arms.

It states that the there will be allowed, a well armed civilian militia, and was implemented when the US were still hysterically scared of Mexico, invading to take back the west coast, and southern boarder.

To a certain extent I agree with the amendment. The police are stretched thin, an criminals are everywhere so law enforcement are not always going to be able to help, when iced up drug addicts break in and threaten your family and house, I know what I would do.

There is also the inherent fear of law enforcement being corrupt. In the early days of the settlements, specially in the west, the sherrif was very susceptible to bribery and corruption from successful businessmen, and or land owners.

Having said that the rest of the world has moved on and you would think that any elected official in the US would do their job, over trying to get votes, or donations from interested parties.

Remember, it might take intelligence to be smart , but it takes experience to be wise

With the USA you've got to remember that it was born out of revolution. The Colonists rebelled against the King of England. They weren't the first to do this of course . 100 plus years before Oliver Cromwell and the Roundheads had rebelled against Charles 1 and kicked the monarchy out of England . Trouble was though power immediately went to the guy with the army at his back, ie Oliver Cromwell himself and not much changed for ordinary people. The American revolutionaries were very aware of this and the danger to the political freedom of the people of a large standing army under the control of the government. In their late 18th century mindset they wanted to ensure that the Government couldn't disarm the population to stop them doing what they'd just done. Technically if you support the second amendment you have to be very against the USA having huge permanent armed forces. It's amazing really that the USA hasnt moved with the times on this issue. I think because the country was born through revolution and armed conflict mistrust of government is in their collective psyche and DNA.

The Yanks are screwed on gun violence- irredeemable- tough titty. Once again America provides an object lesson on how NOT to do things. Thank you, America.

Will be interesting to see whether the NRA survives the Mueller investigation intact and whether Americans view them differently as stuff comes out about them.

So, let me get this right, at Trumps rallies, all the adults that turn up to his rallies, are allowed to the rally, with their guns??

Or are you only allowed to carry a gun when its deemed appropriate??

Hang on, but isnt the reason to bear arms, the mistrust in Government?
So Trump supporters are allowed to turn up to rallies and inside the rally arenas, with their guns??

Of course not! Guns are not permitted at Trump rallies, the Capitol or the White House. The very same folks who want to convince you that more guns make you safer prohibit guns in their workplace.

The very same people who want to turn your child's school into an armed camp prohibit guns in their workplace.

The very same people who want to protect the right of a mentally disturbed teenager to purchase an assault weapon prohibit guns in their workplace.

The very same people who supported the right of people on the terrorist watch list to purchase guns prohibit guns in their workplace.

Could those millions of dollars from the NRA have anything to do with it? You mean the 2nd Amendment doesn't apply to Congress or the President? Shouldn't the Capitol and the White House be "hardened" like our schools? What do you think, hypocrisy or cowardice?

The Secret Service keeps a tight “gun-free zone” around the President. In fact, all State and Federal buildings are “gun-free zones” where the only people with guns are the security services. While the NRA A+ rated Republicans might be trying to eliminate the “gun-free zones” in public and private places, including schools, they’re not allowing any good-guy gun-carrying citizens into their offices. The President, cabinet members and other government officials are deemed too important to be put in any danger, while regular citizens are not afforded the same security or importance.

Posts from a few Americans above.

Totally proves that Trump and the gun lobbys, are a bunch of major hypocrites on this issue.
