As a South Australian would you learned forumites please give me your opinions on what marelines might suit Akeed Mofeed.
From all reports he is an excellent type in conformation, bone, muscle, etc. and has an excellent temperament. Did not like heavy tracks and excelled on top of the ground.
A son of Dubawi who liked to race on the pace.
I am aware that Tiger Hill, didn't do much down here but already as a Broodmare Sire he has 10 S.Wnrs. from 123 rnrs.
I have 2 mares who have been handy enough so far.

Dubawi over mares with Danzig (esp Green Desert) in the sire line works really well.

Lucky Nine and Makfi (both gr1 winners) have Green Desert as their broodmare sire, as do a number of other group winners by Dubawi.

And a host of other Group winners (inc. gr1) by Dubawi have mares with Danzig (and his sons) through their sire line.

Glencoe, some thoughts.

Akeed Mofeed has 4 lines of Buckpasser. Hail To Reason 6x6. Never Bend/Bold Reason. Bring in lines of Roberto and Mr Prospector. O'Reilly from 13B line and adds another Mill Reef and Buckpasser. Add more Sir Ivor.

Zabeel adds Nureyev to go with Sadler's Wells. Sir Ivor meshes brilliantly with Pass A Glance.

Sir Ivor is by a son of Turn-To out of Attica by Mr Trouble out of Athenia by Pharamond II out of Salaminia (Man O'War x Alcibiades).

Pass A Glance is by Buckpasser, a male line grandson of Menow (Pharamond II x Alcibiades) out of a granddaughter of Man O'War. Pass A Glance's dam Come Hither Look is by Turn-To out of Mumtaz, a full sister to Mr Trouble in Sir Ivor. This also brings together lines of Plucky Liege's sons Bull Dog, Sir Gallahad III and Admiral's Drake.

Zabeel's son Savabeel adds Dancing Champ, 3/4 brother to Shareef Dancer. Dancing Champ by Northern Dancer's son Nijinsky II out of Mrs Peterkin.  Shareef Dancer by Northern Dancer out of Mrs Peterkin's daughter Sweet Alliance.

Mrs Peterkin is by Tom Fool, he by Menow out of a daughter of Bull Dog. Nijinsky II also carries Bull Dog as well as Menow (granddam sire).

Suspect you're right Whitt0.

Though he offers a bit as a breed to race prospect in the first instance imo provided they do deal.

I don't think the stud owners have a lot of mares. They bought a few at the Broodmares sale but still not a lot.

I think they have just over 50. Colts to H.K. Fillies to race here the perhaps better ones to stud

I suggest they have a look at Poet's Voice. Now there is a good looking son of Dubaw

It appears both have very similar side-on profiles with A.M. being the more powerful.

"The impact of Dubawi’s three seasons at stud in Australia has been outstanding with the Hong Kong champion Akeed Mofeed Horseform the latest of his sons making a promising start to his stud career.

The first Akeed Mofeed weanling to be offered at public auction resulted in an outstanding sales debut for the foundation sire at South Australia’s Goldin Farms.

Offered in the platinum session of the Great Southern Sale in Melbourne, the colt was bought by NSW bloodstock identity Tony Clift for $120,000, a figure that represents close to eight times the service fee of Akeed Mofeed."

One's been bought by a Chinese sounding name from SA?
Might be whats called a buy back.. or... a 'support back' by the HK owner

wont be surprised to see the other lot sell to SA either.. for the same money or a bit more

just so it can give the sire a decent looking 'average' sale price

Now having passed 1000 posts I feel you are all so much the wiser for my having said... stuff!

I thought 309 was the good one, on paper at least. He does seem to have wonky knees, but shadows and angles can play tricks on you.

The other looks pretty rough in the pic, but it's an ordinary pic.

A slow start for this bloke.

Expect him to get a few winners on the board and move up the sires table in the next 6 months.

Have always had a sneaking suspicion that Akeed Mofeed (By Dubawi) will be a better Stallion than Darleys Dubawi Poets Voice.

Maybe he will maybe he won't.

Has a couple by prominent trainers today that are in the market so interested to see how they go.

Caulfield.....Sunset Watch

Morph.........Another Whisper
