Essendon have made 6 changes for their clash against Pies.

Geez, what a surprise. LOL

Prediction made last week, even before they thumped Freo.

Essendon to bring back full list against Pies in Elimination final.
Essendon to pump Pies in Elimination final by over 5 goals.

No.

Essendon threw the game against Dogs. I am 100% certain of this.
Essendon rested players, then didnt try, for these reasons (and I regard this to be coaching genius by Worsfold).

1: Had Essendon finished too high, it greatly increased their chances of playing a strong side in elimination final, interstate.

2: By dropping game against Dogs, they have now given the Dogs a chance to finish 8th.

With that said,,,, here is the prediction from here.

Essendon will absolutely pump Freo in Perth.
Essendon to go to 48 points, secure finals berth. Done deal.

Essendon will then rest 6 players again, against Collingwood, and Essendon will LOSE.
They will throw that game too.

Elimination final, Essendon will bring back its full list, fresh players, back from the rest, and absolutely pump whoever they play.

If you dont think sides rest players, with no strategy behind it, you are kidding yourself.
Essendon has studied and made a very very clever plan of attack at the finals.

Watch the footage against Dogs. Apart from dropping 6 players to "rest", players like Tippy were not even running. They didnt care, nor did the coach.
It was 100% deliberate loss.
They rested the entire team, not just 6 players.
They are preparing for a finals onslaught.

Collingwood -30.5 to beat Bombers,,,, $2.05,  Get On.

Collingwood will beat Essendon by over 6 goals this Friday night.
Worsfold had made the 6 changes. LOL.
Wink wink, nudge nudge.

So, what will Essendon do with this game?
Simple, Drills.
Chip kicks, and handball drills.
Just a sharpen up game,
They will play Keepings Off, with chip kicks, change angles, zig zag practice around the ground.
Just a sharpen up.
Other than that, bugger all.
Pies to win it by over 6 goals.
And the dumb media to fall for the same bait again. LOL.

But you’re whole thing was based on Essendon wanting the Bulldogs to finish eighth. If you’re right, they won’t, and it won’t matter to the Dons anyway

Judge, you are reading what I written all wrong.

Worsfold deliberately losing to Dogs 2 weeks ago, by a big margin, was done for MULTIPLE reasons.

One, Essendon knew they would pump Freo, to seal finals spot.
They RESTED players against Dogs, as they didnt need to win the game.

2: They wanted one extra Vic side in the finals series, to increase chances of home games in Semi finals, etc. Rather than one extra interstate team.
Damn right they wanted Dogs in the finals.

It achieved 2 things.
1: Essendon has rested players, even against Pies tonight.
2: Extra Victorian side in finals, give slight extra mathematical chance of semis, qualifying finals etc, being played at MCG.

Essendon losing to Dogs deliberately, was 100% a masterplan by Worsfold.
It was multi-faceted, multi purpose.

Essendon are launching an almighty attack at the finals.

Worsfold had to sit there and cop the abuse, but he and Essendon knew EXACTLY what they were doing.

Even Hepp gets a rest tonight.
Stringer is fine by the way, listed as injured. LOL. He is fine.

You realise finishing lower on the table lessens their chance of a home final, right?

Was watching the news tonight, and the newsreader explained off his cue card how the Catsled well early before the Blues fought back well in the second half before falling short.

By nearly 12 goals thank you very much!

What sub-editor or journalist writes this rubbish for the newsreader?  Clown

Redemption, if Footscray beat Adelaide and Richmond beat Brisbane, Essendon travels to Perth to play West Coast, how does that fit in with Worsfold's genius  plans for Essendon ?
BTW I am an Essendon member.

Looks like Worsfold’s “genius” machinations have landed the Bombers an elimination final in Perth against the reigning premiers. DOH!!

Maybe he saw all this coming and is just homesick. Or maybe everyone wants to finish eighth.

My opinion. Not a Crows fan but your senior group is what carries you to success or otherwise. Walker and Betts are effectively done. Can the coach make the requisite hard calls? If so, fine. He got them to a GF 2 years ago.

Hardwick, Buckley...he hasn’t had as much time as them. After Sanderson, not sure you want to be too quick on the trigger wrt firing coaches.

Essendon will pump West Coast.
They were in Perth just last week, they love the ground.

Everything then starts heading to the MCG.

Essendon are a very very big chance to win the flag.
Worsfold resting players is a master plan.

Watch how fast and hard Essendon play.
They have the mids, and Tippy and Stringer are going to go beserk.
Saad, Shiel,   game on.
Buckle up.

11th and 12th in successive seasons.  Leading players dropped every other week or so throughout 2019.  Something isn't right, quite apart from a couple of aging champs.

This from Jake Niall, The Age

Adelaide coach Pyke's job on the line as review begins

Add to shortlist

The question of whether Don Pyke continues to coach the Crows will be determined by an in-depth external review of the football department.

While Pyke is contracted for another two seasons and a sacking would be expensive for the Crows, his position is very much in jeopardy in this post-season, along with the head of the football department Brett Burton, as the Crows come to terms with a disastrous end to the 2019 season.

The review, which is expected to take up to four weeks, will seek input from the entire playing list, fitness, welfare, coaching and list management staff, as the Crows examine some of the issues that have seen dispirited performances in the latter stages of this season and are expected to see a number of players exit the club in the post-season.

The Crows, interestingly, have engaged the services of a leading sports psychologist, Jonah Oliver – the head sports psychologist at the Australian Institute of Sport – who is set to probe the relationships between the coaches and players and whether those bonds have been damaged in 2018 and 2019, as well as looking at the leadership set-up at the club.

Add to shortlist

There is a view that those relationships between the coach and certain players were hurt, to varying degrees, by the fallout from the infamous pre-season camp before the 2018 season. But the club is focused on repairing the present, rather than raking over that episode.

The messaging from the Adelaide hierarchy – chairman Rob Chapman, board member and former champion Mark Ricciuto and chief executive Andrew Fagan – has been that the club recognizes that there is a need for change at the club, it is just a question of what form of change will take place.

Eddie Betts has been deliststed by the Crows.
Wonder if the reason was other than form, haven't taken much notice of him but personally I always thought he was way overrated, didn't perform in pressure situations.

AFL trade whispers 2019: Stunning report declares Eddie Betts will return Carlton in 2020

Charismatic Crow Eddie Betts will turn his back on Adelaide and reconnect with Carlton in a romantic football homecoming, according to a stunning report in The Australian.

According to respected South Australian journalist David Penberthy, Betts is “desperately unhappy at Adelaide” and “will return” to the Blues — the club he was at for the first nine years of his esteemed AFL career.

Since joining the Crows from Carlton in 2014, Betts has kicked 310 goals and earnt All-Australian selection three times.

But following Adelaide’s infamous pre-season camp in 2018, two straight finals-less campaigns and his own on-field struggles in 2019, Betts would leave the Crows to link up again with Carlton, according to The Australian.

The 316-game veteran admitted the mood at the club since the Crows’ season ended with an 11th-placed finish had been flat.
