The Ruddmeister has dumped his Sunrise mate - Kochie.

I was looking through the list with dread that this tool's name may crop up ! Thank God it did'nt.

On a more serious note, some impressive names amongst the list. I would sincerely hope, a full and complete agenda is followed in each summit - The ego's of some of these " Summitt Members " can run wild if not kept on a leash.

This Summit is the biggest load of bu@#$%it I have ever seen from a government.

Aren't we [paying civil servants to come up with ideas, isn't that their job, and if they can not come up with innovative and creative ways of solving our community problems then I have a suggestion, make way for someone who can.

I mean Alyssa Camplin what is she going to create a new decor for all government buildings or maybe educate all of us on a triple, quadruple cross turn spin.

I mean seriouslyClown
Remember, it might take intelligence to be smart , but it takes experience to be wise

Totally agree Voyager

Maybe Camplin has some important ideas regarding the pressing issue of oral hygiene
Season 2012 = 102 Years since Collingwood has beaten Carlton in a Grand Final.

Haven't see the list. But can bet there'll be people on there giving views for whole industries or sectors of the community for which they have not earn't or been given right to represent. Just been given a mandate by the royal finger.

Sorry day and that other bull**** stunt they did, already forgotten what it is, are gone now so it's time for stunt No. 3.

Anyway it will be good for a laugh.

Fark 2020 you bunch of dimwits. Get out and solve the 2008 problems. For instance, the world shortage in food that has made grain prices increase by 30%, let alone the massive debt crisis facing the average joe!

A big step in solving today's problems would be to get rid of the geeky academic modelling that is misleading and lagging behind the real world. Get the geeks and academics out into the streets if they really want to know what is going to happen in the future.

Can never beat the PhD from the University of Hard Knocks with some self applauding bunch of geeks and academics. Sack the Reserve Bank as well and put a bunch of lollipop ladies in charge. We would have a much better chance of seeing reality with those types than the pompous pontificating pen pushers in place.

CPI.......... hahahaha.............. what a con!

Climate Change....................hahahahaha.................... what a con!

United Nations..............hahahahaha................ what a con!

2020 Brainfest.................hahahahahaha......... what a con!

I could go on but I think I'll just go to bed instead. Sleepy

Typical Liberal negativity - who's to say a brilliant idea or two won't come up as a result???

Sure it's important to focus on what's happening now and fixing inflation, the skills shortage, etc etc that are Howard's real legacy but it doesn't hurt to have some bigger goals to aim for in the medium term - with a bit of planning for the future over the last 11 years we'd be a hell of a lot better placed in some regards now.

Besides it'll probably be 2020 before another Liberal government will be elected - maybe you should be embracing it rather than knocking it!!!

Womble, I care little for politicians because they don't run democracies. When you learn a bit more you will realise that bureaucracy runs a democracy. Personally, I don't give a damn whether conservatives or socialists are in political control.

Unfortunately the quality of bureaucrats, and especially the out of touch processes, are not as good as they should be. That is what the new Government should be putting its energy towards instead of wasting time in the ether!

The point of my post is not that complex, but maybe some are just below simple. Hence I will put it as simply as I can.................. deal with today and tomorrow will take care of itself!

Gabfests are a waste of time and money, a good excuse to do nothing today because we are planning for tomorrow......... but tomorrow never comes.

The only time it is worthwhile to embrace hot air is when one goes ballooning. 2020 Brainfest will be able to fill many hot air balloons. LOL

NB. Just as a curiosity, if I was ever stupid enough to enter politics then I would join the Labor Party not the Liberals. Labor need people like me more than any other Party. ConfusedLOLConfusedLOLConfusedLOLLOLOuch
