My opinion.-it will be a penalty of 0.5kg.
Australian racing is only good up to 1400m in terms of world standards when it comes to depth/quality in numbers

Is Yucatan in the process of being re-named??

Its not uncommon for Lloyd to change the names of his horses.

Handicapper obviously believes strongly in the sliding weight scale so much that I question how horses can carry 60kg+ in a benchmark.

Any word on Idaho for the Melb Cup?

Is likely to start and is well over the odds at $51. Single digit odds at his last 3 runs over journeys in top UK Group races. I think he could be AOB's main hope.

Geelong Cup winner penalised 1.5kg penality for the Melbourne Cup. Will now carry 52kg and is 27th in order of entry

Hard one to line up on RR. Great UK form in 2016 & 2017 but mediocre in 2018. He profiles similar to US Army Ranger who Aiden brought here last year. He failed in the Cup & Id probably stay away from Idaho as well this year

Got a few live tickets into KINGS WILL DREAM. I think of the locals he's the best hope. Should run well today, top 3 would be nice and is a live hope in the big one this year i feel.
DK to claim 2nd Melbourne Cup has a nice ring to it. You can still get $41, which is great price.

He’s still 35th in order, how do you think he gets a run?

Last week you were saying he should be in the paddock

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but your tickets are confetti... Read somewhere yesterday win, lose or draw he is heading to the paddock after today.

I think we can put a line through anything that ran in the Moonee Valley Cup.

I think you're right.

But it'll be great just to see WSTB go around, if indeed he does go around.

If we get some rain, or the Europeans get the taps flowing, then STB can run top six again!

Sounds like a few horses that are currently already in the top 24 in order of entry are in some doubt to line up in the Cup.

Grace Ramage mentioned on After The Last that the following maybe missing: Egg Tart, Tosen Basil, Red Cardinal & Big Duke.

So the connections of some of those horses down the order may be in a better position than they thought before today.

I think 2nd acceptances are on Monday 29th Oct, so will be interesting to see who pays up & who doesn’t.

Brenton Avdulla stuffed up Big Duke in The Metropolitan, horse hasn’t recovered.

What happened to Red Cardial? Does he normally race on the pace? I know he did today due to the bias track butnirmally he is ridden a bit qhieter in his races.

If this horse wins a Melbourne Cup I’ll give up the punt

Absolutely not.. no chance whatsoever and I hope it doesn’t keep out others who will give the race more than a quirky name

Horses such as?

He will not win, but he has a better chance than Ventura Storm, Runaway, Finche, Rostopovich, Humidor and about ten others who are already in the race!
