Heats tomorrow night, 8 for the cup + 4 for the stayers event.
finals next friday night.
I know sweet f a, but i'm having a few bets anyway.
To my understanding a dog has to win the cup heat to get a guernsey in the cup
or run top 2 in the heat to get into the bold trease.

i'm on these for the cup

my bro fabio $10 with ladbrokes win only (they've spelt his name wrong, "fabrio..")
dyna yemen $51 with b365 win only
hekate belle $66 with ladbrokes win only
+
dream it $101 + $26 with b365 e/w

1 unit the top 3 + 1 unit e/w dream it = 5 units out.

Hoping for someone or plural, to give us a push for something.
dishy..is a greyhound specialist + i'm sure there'll be a couple more around,
so if anyone likes anything in the heats or the finals, tell us all about it.

My favourite series, very cut throat with winners only going through, can find some at big pre post prices if you think they're drawn to win heat. Will post a few tomorrow. In the stayers Sweet it is probably looks a good thing and $2.25 probably isn't a bad price considering it will be around $1.30 in its heat

Greyhounds have such an advantage over other sports with the ability to run often. Heat night is the best night. Race after race of absolute quality.
I love My Bro Fabio. Only bad luck beats him. Unfortunately with greyhounds, that happens often. He doesnt have early pace so will always need luck. If he escapes trouble on the first bend, he will run anything down.

I couldn't have my boy fabio...great dog but slow beginning railer and needs luck two races in a row. Look at his last run, he won by 15 but was one of the luckiest wins you will see. A quick glance at them I think the value runners are the following (all I care about is making the final, anything can happen from there)

Above All $51
Lucy Lobster $111
Hekate belle $66
Lamia Bale $51
Kiltah magic $81

Could change mind when i do form in depth

Definite chance to get through and would be a chance in final if he drew inside somewhere...he is in a very open heat. The 1 Marcus Joe doesn't seem to want box 1, will look at his runs later, but his form suggests he doesn't like the box...The 2 Luca Neveelk is a big distance risk, got run down at The Meadows which is an easier 500 then Sandown...3 weblec bale, not good enough....4 dream it, hit n miss early, goes close with a good jump...5 Hawk alone isn't a great beginner but so consistent....6 dyna ostrander is slow out, needed box one...7 kiltah Magic is my pick, slow raider drawn inside, went a 5.00 section here 5 starts back and went 29.35, to compare that most of these run 5.10-5.20 first sections, if it leads and goes 29.40ish it will take some running down, is $12 Ladbrokes to win heat....8 olllie bale, much prefer from box 1, but can ping

If my life depended on picking winner and I had 3 picks for final I would go Keybow, Hostile and secret spell. Might take those 3 in doubles with sweet it is to beef up price

you can get $1:70 sweet it is, for tonight with b365..
i know nothing really, but she gets back + runs on, from a quick look
at the form guide..so some luck needed to get through the pack.
if flying twist jumps on the lure, i think she'll be hard to catch.

worth a saver maybe? or quinella..

I'll know more soon, but off the top of my head the dog drawn outside sweet it is likes to use a bit of the track. Always a risk backing dogs that get back, against all my rules, but she is very very good.

Funny you bag Fabio and label Sweet a good thing. Sweet is always a dog that needs luck too. No doubt has lengths on them, but will also be last and have to get around 8 dogs. He's a fun dog to watch race, but not at the short odds it always starts at.

Can't compare 515m racing with 715m and Fabio is drawn wrong side of track and is coming back from 600m racing. I don't think sweet it is will get back to last tonight.

what do you like to run 2nd to S I I dishy?

with b365 the fixed priced exactas (forecast)..
has some value, due to the $1:70 for the fav, eg $5:54 for 2/1..
i'm guess the tote would pay around $3 if that got up.

Fabio was pinging early in campaign, in my opinion he isn't jumping anywhere near as well. Was last out in 600m final last start and all the leaders tangled and ran off track giving him a dream inside run. Obviously he is best
dog in race and prob whole series, but I'll be betting around him, if I'm wrong well its only one race. P.s I'm a huge fan of the dog, would of loved to have seen him in shoot out last week!

EI at a glance the 1 will lead and prob looks the one for exotics. Will start doing form after lunch so can tell you more then.

When I say pinging, he wasn't coming out in blinding sectionals, but was jumping well for him. I think he lead Canberra cup field from the red from memory

My thoughts on each race, the more I looked at it the harder the night got, won't be having many bets unless I can snare overs.

Race 1

Draw has made this tricky. Kiss Me Ketut could wipe out the field at the first turn, doesn't want the inside, so he would have to ping in front to win and don't think he will. The more I looked at the race the more I warmed to Oakvale Destiny, can see her missing starting and diving to fence and getting a nice run first turn. Big Danger Above All, think this dog could win final if it gets through tonight. Lucy Lobster looks well drawn out in the pink and could lead. Weston East is a young dog on the way up, looks like he will make a nice stayer down the track.

4. Oakvale Destiny
5. Above All
8. Lucy Lobster
10. Weston East

Might box quinella or trifecta if odds allow or I could back the 4 if it gets to $5.00.

Race 2

Probably no bet here for me, looks no value at all. Hostile has its box and Secret Spell looks well drawn with the 7 walking out.

1. Hostile
8. Secret Spell
3. Awesome Project
4. Dyna Yemen

Race 3

Tricky race. The obvious is the 7, Shall She Rock. Outside her it looks open. Going to go value for the placings and take exotics.

7. Shall She Rock
2. Reap The Benefit
1. Mimicking
6. Big Kat

Maybe quinella 7/1,2

Race 4

Sweet It Is should be too good for this lot, probably one of the weaker fields she has met. Can see her settling 6th early and coming over the top. Space Star is a good young dog, first go here a little worry. Flying Twist looks the certain leader. Bailey Rose should be on pace.

2. Sweet It Is
6. Space Star
1. Flying Twist
3. Bailey Rose

Will take trifecta and First 4 probably.

Race 5

Won't waste much time here. Banjo Boy looks one of the best of the night, 2 will stay off it early.

1. Banjo Boy

Back the red and I will anchor it in quaddie.

Race 6

Could be tricky, or the pink gets across and it just wins. Think Crawfs Bread can run a race at about $20. The red might lead, but will be gasping for air late. Iva Vision was good to me in the Shoot out, but it was a very lucky win, think it might struggle to find a good spot tonight, but is obviously a good dog.

8. Keybow
5. Crawfs Bread
1. Take Charge
6. Iva Vision

Maybe quinella boxing 1,5,8 and hope 1 and 5 get left in front and there is trouble.

Race 7

Another tricky race. Allen Deed has the biggest motor, but gee he can find trouble, managed to find it in a 4 dog field last week when he was there to win early! I've come up with Hekate Belle, can run time and will be on speed early. Star Recall looks perfectly drawn to lead, with the 1 walking out and is definite danger.

5. Hekate Belle
2. Star Recall
3. Allen Deed
1. Peloton Bale

Maybe exotics around the top 2 picks winning.

Race 8

As we have discussed, My Boy Fabio is best dog in this race, but as I said earlier, I'm taking him on. Also leaving a dog that is 6/6 at Sandown in Dyna Villa. Have come up with the 2 Shoulders and 8 Lamia Bale as the most likely to lead and could pinch it if there is trouble behind. Bessy Boo is drawn her box and will charge late and Superfonic is under rated but not well drawn. If you like Fabio, don't let me talk you out of backing him, he is a super dog.

2. Shoulders
8. Lamia Bale
1. Bessy Boo
5. Superfonic

Will probably box quinella and trifecta and hope for some luck.

Race 9

No idea at all! Too many ifs and buts! If I was forced to have a pick I think Beks will be strong late.

6. Beks

No bet or back the 6 each way

Race 10

Looks four chances to me, 4,5,7,8. 4 and 7 should be on pace and 5 and 8 will close late. M

7. Zipping Rory
4. Starc
8. Blinkers On
5. Shot To Bits

Might rover the 4 in exotics as it will be clear outsider of 4.

Race 11

Lots of question marks here. Was keen on the 7 Kiltah Magic and still am, but it has to lead or at least sit outside Luca Neveelk to have any chance. Marcus Joe doesn't seem to like being crowded. Dream It probably best dog but depends where he ends up early. Luca Neveelk looks leader but might be paddling late.

7. Kiltah Magic
4. Dream It
2. Luca Neveelk
8. Ollie Bale

Have already backed the 7, might back the 4 as well if its silly odds.

Race 12

The lucky last and lots of luck will be needed to find the winner! None of them winning would surprise! Have a feeling Bazzas Gift will give a big sight from the pink at about $20, but this is a speculator!!

8. Bazzas Gift
1. Cosmic Wise
7. Buckle up wes
5. National Time

Might rover the 8 with the field in quinella and trifecta.

Quaddie

1
1,3,5,6,8
2,5
1,2,5,8

Good luck if you have a crack, one of the toughest meetings Ive seen in a while!
